hi i a noobie

I got a very special $20 to use for a domain and web hosting as the product sales page for clickbank items

i was wondering if there were any easy non complicated web domain + hosting sites out there? if they have a noobie friendly website builder that would be grand too. Or should I use word press?

also do you guys who promote several different products across many niches use different domains for each one? Or do you just use one domain and make separate pages?

Register domain with godaddy and get a shopping cart like Yahoo (for physical products) or inhouse digital download system.

Go with hosts like hostmonster.com or hostgator.com.

Although Godaddy is a hassle, I personally use them the most for my domains. I use hostgator for hosting services. I find that combo is pretty good, I've never had any problems.

Oh, I don't research domain name on godaddy though, I use domaintools.com for domain suggestions and things of that nature.

For domains Godaddy and for hosting definitely go for Bluehost, they give you unlimited hosting and I am sure their control panel has a website builder. With regards to Godaddy, you are right, when you buy a domain, they'll try and upsell you other features, just go through it once, and you'll get used to it and work your way around it.

    I like 1&1 for domains - cheaper.

For a site that will install in minutes and have everything you need
    - shopping cart, blog, auto responder...

    try

is there any place that you can get web hosting without having to pay 12 months in advanced? I noticed bluehost wanted 12 months minimal. As for 1and1 i've had bad experience with them in the past

I'm not quite sure what I would do if I bought a domain from one website and hosted on another? Do they charge to transfer it over or how does it work?

You can pay monthly with Hostgator. As for domain registration, I like Name.com as it's a simple interface without loads of adverts. If your hosting company has cPanel, which most do, then it's easy to set up a Wordpress site - if you're unsure how to do this there are lots of free tutorials out there. For promoting different products, yes most use separate domains.

This is actually the best thing to do. There's no charge, when you sign up for hosting they give you two addresses known as nameservers. After you've bought your domain name you can go into the user panel and edit the nameservers, changing them to the ones your host provided. In a few minutes, or sometimes a bit longer, like a couple of hours, your domain will be showing up where it's hosted.

Get domain names from GoDaddy or even better from a Wild West Reseller which usually shaves off a few bucks.

Be sure to get cPanel as the control panel for whatever hosting you get.

JustHost is the winner here. Get 6 months of hosting at Web Hosting : Professional Web Hosting from Just Host for $41.70. They let you host multiple domain names with this, their least expensive package. I give them the edge for the most bang for the least bucks.

I know that sometimes, a noobie may have a few friends who are doing the same thing. If you can get 4 or 5 to share the cost, a reseller hosting account for $24.95 from HostGator giving you 24 Gigs of space could give you the best deal. Of course you have to work out getting the money from everyone.

Here's the best call if you're going to do multiple websites this year...

First... buy your domains at namecheap.com

They offer free WhoisGuard. Godaddy charges to make your whois info private. I believe they are also offering free SSL certificates now.

For hosting, buy a reseller account. This should set you back anywhere from $15-$40 per month, but you can setup an account for each domain and it's really handy.

Hostdime and Hostgator have solid reseller plans. As a reseller, I know Hostdime offers a website builder for free. Not sure what the quality is though... I think it's a Plesk Sitebuilder?

It's not necessary to get a reseller account unless you're planning to sell the sites. To start with, you can use a simple cheap hosting plan which alows for unlimited domains. Although it may be a little confusing at first using add-on domains with cpanel, like everything else it becomes easier the more you do it.

Add-on domains are a big pain in the butt...

A reseller account is much simpler, and if you ever want to sell one of your sites, it a breeze.

We're talking nickels and dimes here... $25-$30 per month for a reseller hosting account is just part of being involved with IM.

I re-sell GoDaddy and make the least Wild West allows. If I wanted to get rich doing it, I wouldn't sell domains or hosting. Lol.

if you are serious about IM, the GVO offer in dollrware's sig above is a good value for the money as it includes an auto-responder that most places raise the price up as the contact number goes up. Not because it costs them more, (100 or 100,000 contacts cost them the same as it is all automated) they just raise the price because they figure you can afford it. Lol.
Or google 'free & powerful' and get a GDI site and a Trafficwave auto-responder that also never goes up, even if you have 1 million contacts! (As well as some training, but they are still pre-launch and are thinking about a complete training module as most of the people that have already signed up are reasonably new to IM.

I started with Godaddy 3 years ago. I still use them and would never leave. They have a plan for everybody, beginner to advanced.

    Good luck with your sites!

If I remember right, Godaddy does not offer cPanel. This can be an issue if you need coding work done and want to outsource it. A lot of people have issues navigating Godaddy's hosting.

3ix.com basic hosting service is only $1.00 per month and comes with lots of addons including shopping cart. I'm not the most tech savvy but I've hosted a low volume site with them for 3 or 4 years now and never had any reason to complain.... but maybe you should ask me again in a couple of months because now that I'm recently unemployed I am finally getting serious about building my IM empire Will have to wait and see how 3ix performs when I take it to the next level.
