Read it before paying for another course

Hi guys!

"Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is."

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Nowadays, the Internet is full of useful educational content which covers different studies. However, tt the same time, it's a huge library which is bloated with people trying to earn money selling information that is literally written on the first page of search results.

You can see dozens of 'unique' courses, coachings that will make you a millionaire in a year, methods allowing to earn a $100 of daily passive income etc. At the end of a day, all these hacks are no more than a set of basics flavored with a bunch of lie and presented by a charismatic author.

After spending hundreds (or thousands) of hours on various courses and coachings I realized that most of them are following the same script. I decided to share it with you so you could avoid wasting your time on such activities.

Another SEO/Marketing/Moneymaking course/hack/coaching/training/whatever you call it

Hello guys, my name is <author's name> and I will tell you about a brand-new advanced technique called <name>. You will learn how to earn thousands of dollars using his technique. Key thing is that you don't need to be an expert in <niche> and it doesn't require any investment (or only a couple of bucks).

Now it's time to remind your target audience of their pains.

Sick of working for your boss? Sick of daily routine? Sick of being paid less than you should be? Have a dream but don't know how to start? Tried starting your own business but failed? Have an outstanding idea but don't know how to start? Want to travel while working? Etc.

Still think that it's impossible? Cmon, look at me! I started my first business in 13 years, earned my first million in 16 and I've been helping people from all over the world to run a successful business for 9 years! <insta full of photos with pretty girls, expensive cars, and from different countries>. The annual turnover of my company exceeded $10 million.

Here is my partner <name>. He is a professional in <niche> just like me. Last year he earned <crazy amount of money> and he will also share his methods.

You might think that it's very difficult for a person like you. Yes, it's not easy, but we will teach you everything you need. Here is Mike one of our graduates, he used to be just like you 2 years ago. Now look at him, he earns 10 times more than he used to earn on his full-time job. He bought his mother a new car. He has already traveled to 16 countries and currently lives in Italy.

Other examples in order to reflect all types of your target audience from students to disabled people.

You can do exactly the same only with your laptop and internet connection. Don't waste your time and start earning with us!

Well, this example is kinda obvious and smells like 2008, but trust me 90% of today's courses from gurus are based on this structure. They play with your pains, pull the wool over your eyes showing made up figures and offer a unique solution.

Nowadays, such gurus tend to focus more on offering small but recurring and passive income. Like how to earn $30 each day with little to no effort.

There's no magic stick in this world. As someone has already said - no one will share a gold mine with you unless there's no gold left in it.

Learn from free sources and practice yourself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone who offers any paid course is a scammer, but in 9/10 cases it's true. If you want to buy something from someone, don't be in hurry and spend a month checking free stuff from the author, how he behaves etc. Don't trust any reviews or insta photos. Be smart.

My takeaway from your rant is...you've been burnt a time or too. Eh?

First, the "script" you offer as the IM guru's go to script, has a 100 year history before there was the WWW.

9 out of 10 are scammers? Prove it. I find that dubious.

Be smart? Well, can we agree that 9 out of 10 people who fall for that script, who have spent hundreds, maybe thousands of hours on courses by these people...

maybe they just can't be smart because they are so gullible.

And the gullible, wannabee, newbie has made a fortune for many a guru for the last 100 years who followed the script, because they know it takes effort to BE SMART. So shortcuts, whiz bang, silver bullets and gold mines at a discount take no effort to acquire.

Well, you know what they say - if you want to become successful, you gotta stop consuming products and start selling them.

But then again, that takes a lot of work, and not many people are willing to do that, are they? Why else are these "Push button" offers selling in droves, while products that teach you actual business models, but would require you to work 8+ hours a day to make it work, rarely, if ever, reach that kind of popularity?

I think the gurus are just pandering to the crowd. This is what the $7 crowd demands. But go a bit higher. The $500+ crowd are willing to put in the work, so they get real training with real business models.

That said, I won't say all $7 products are useless. Many are, but a lot of them are also just beginner courses that give you a taste of what you can have if you're willing to put in the work. They describe the business model, and give you enough to get started, but the real meat and secret sauces are probably taught in a $500 training that goes into minute detail of everything.

Nothing wrong with that. You can't sell something that needs 6 months to properly teach for $7. That's not how the world works. Product creators would go broke if they do that.

"Knowledge is power" is a common saying. It's wrong. It should be "The Application of Knowledge Is Power". In other words, simply learning new things won't get you anywhere, You have to apply what you learn. Otherwise, you're actually worse off than someone who's completely ignorant of the topic. You've wasted money buying a product you'll never use to successful effect and you've wasted time learning information you'll never use.

Most marketers want quick results and when they don't get them they move on to the next shiny object. Rinse and repeat. I know because I used to be like that myself.

You need to focus on one thing for the duration and filter out all the digital noise trying to grab your attention. Things will go wrong. Things won't work. Failure is part of the process. You have to learn how to overcome the obstacles, not be stopped in your tracks by them.

I can agree most of those courses are gimmicky but there are some that you can learn legit strategies. Some of the time it is what you make of the course that defines how good it it can be. It takes time to learn and create the skill that can then lead to a passive income producing asset.

Very good analysis and thanks for sharing.

As they say in my town!

    "Nobody is born learned"

We all have to go through a learning process and then apply it if we want to achieve something in life.

But for me, the problem is not that if you pay for the information or not, but as far as what you learned to put into practice !.

You have said it, the same thing that can be learned by paying can also be learned for free, especially today that we live in the information age. but so much information becomes like a puzzle, and you can read hundreds of books that say the same thing, but you will find only one that will click on your head and put together that puzzle easily. This is one of the mysteries of the mind.

On the other hand, it is important when you feel saturated with information, stop looking and start applying what you have already learned, and apply it in a disciplined and efficient way, moving to action is the most important stage to obtain results.

    Greetings.

There's no doubt that you can spend the rest of your natural life sorting through various youtube courses, Facebook opportunities and Twitter ads. And yes, you can certainly learn stuff. One thing you can also be sure of: There are plenty of folks who frequent this board of have done so. In fact, there are even a few who will be sure to tell you that any course that costs over $19 is a scam.

But I hope I'm not boring anyone with the reminder that 'time is money.' I was fortunate enough to have enough to invest in a top quality course. It covers everything from landing page development to creating effective Facebook ads. It had me up and running in a few weeks and, no small thing, it was this course that recommended I get involved with the Warrior Forum.

Trial and error, diligence, etc is all part of the package. Keeping in mind that 'time is money' it shouldn't come as a shock that 'you get what you pay for.' If you are serious and keep at it you will find a way to become successful.

I have found that I have learnt something from nearly every course I have purchased.

If I had tried to find out a lot of those things myself it would have taken me a lot longer.

A good course will have all of the pertinent information in one place - and the course provider will usually save you a lot of time telling you from experience what to avoid - this alone saves you a lot of money.

Overall I am very please with the courses I have purchased

I'm personally glad, that i paid for...whatever program, couse, training or software i paid for, because it never stopped me from trying and pushing and learning, and i'm super happy for that.

Those who invest in themselves to try to make something work, will grow a lot.

Not to say there aren't things out there that are just bad, overhyped and created by people who clearly don't care that much...but if you stick around long enough, with your mistakes and patience and trials, you might end up deveoping a very useful skill or 2.

In that sense, once again, i'm pretty happy with my choices

    {hands over a virtual cigar}

To be fair, they have also made small fortunes for ancillary businesses who service the needs of these "gullible, wannabee, newbie" types.

In the "80s" I was selling ad space in magazines and renting mailing lists. The medium has changed but the people and their "needs" never do.

    I'm sooo glad.
