Has anyone tried using LInkedin Sponsored InMail Messages for advertising? How effective are they as compared to other forms of advertising? Thanks.

  • Mark,

    For the past several years, I've been using LinkedIn InMail to great success for the client acquisition campaigns of my business; and
    • I closed the biggest contracts of my business for our tech content marketing, multi-lingual telesales and technology development services through LinkedIn InMail ...

    I prioritize 3 major components in my pipeline when creating a LinkedIn InMail campaign; and
    These are:

    • Targeting >> Value Proposition >> Pilot Contract Offer •

    -- Now targeting involves pinpointing my ideal client targets and getting to really know the things they badly need at the moment that I can serve;

    -- Meanwhile, value proposition mainly involves your ability to clearly communicate the benefits of the stuff you can do for your targets and the supplemental value they'll get when they choose you so they can take advantage of what sets you apart from all the noise out there, though you need to package everything into an attention-grabbing and enticing proposal; and

    -- On the other hand, your pilot contract offer should be compelling enough for them to want to try out your offers with very minimal to zero risks on their part ...

    Note: In my experience, this portion of my pipeline always involves phone appointments (overseas clients), face-to-face discussions (local clients and sometimes also overseas ones, especially for large contracts) and lots of back and forth email and IM conversations (both overseas and local clients) ...

    Hope this helps!

      Thanks, Marx. This helps a lot. I haven't been very successful finding folks that have used this service to offer a review. Actually, you are the first one. I have been in contact with Linkedin support about how to use InMails. I have a few concerns about this service, however, your positive review trumps those concerns. I will need to try it out to see how well it works for my business. Thanks, again!

    LinkedIn right now is growing well as using it's marketing techniques currently is a great way to boost your exposure.
    From my experience, they work better than regular email campaigns, as linkedin has build a credible client base. I think Marx explained all the main points, but definitely go for it!
