This really sucks.

They were far and away my favorite aff network with a great staff and a ton of useful features in the account management area.

I was just setting up and ready to rip through a new campaign starting on August 1st.

I wonder what happened, as this seems to be so sudden. They *just* switched over to a new platform a few weeks ago. Were there any previous rumors they hit some financial hardship and might close down?

As an aside...anyone have any recommendations for a good network for BizOp and WorkAtHome offers? Strict admission guidelines are no issue. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Why is PeerFly closing?

Affiliate marketing is alive and well. However, the particular model that PeerFly was built on no longer represents the most efficient or cost-effective method for generating new sales and leads for advertisers. Over the years, many advancements in online marketing have created new low barriers of entry for businesses who want to control their marketing internally. Platforms like Facebook have dominated the ability to precisely target an audience and have made it incredibly easy to scale. Combined with a great economy, where businesses are okay risking marketing dollars to find the right audience, the model of the "Affiliate Network" is one that doesn't work nearly as well in 2019 as it did just 5 years earlier.

It's a billion dollar industry...why do you think it's going to "die" very soon? It shares a similar model to network marketing (MLM) and that's one of the oldest business models there is. It has been around for a VERY long time and everyone thinks it's a scam and a pyramid scheme...yet it still continues to also be a billion dollar industry.

You're entitled to your opinions, but I'm curious how you're predicting the fall of this massive industry?

The essence of affiliate marketing is that an online retailer pays commission to an external website for 1) traffic or 2) sales generated from its referrals.

The problem for PeerFly is that it has never been easier for a business owner to set up their own internal affiliate program, or purchase ads via the big players like Google or Facebook etc.

Affiliate marketing is not going away as long as there are people with audiences (traffic) and product creators in need of traffic (audiences).

Also, for publishers, they have never been mailer friendly. For which, I have never bothered to use them.

There are plenty of networks to get offers from and affiliate marketing isn't going away.

Member showcasing is fit as a fiddle. Nonetheless, the specific model that PeerFly was based on never again speaks to the most proficient or savvy strategy for producing new deals and leads for sponsors. Throughout the years, numerous headways in internet promoting have made new low hindrances of section for organizations who need to control their showcasing inside.

What really got me worried about their closure notification email was their claim that the old AFFILIATE NETWORK MODEL is no longer as feasible as before.

They cited the ad competition posed by Facebook ads and others

The competition have gotten harder so maybe that is why. I remember signing up with them over 10 years ago when i got started, the CPa was very small like 50 cents to $1 per signup. It was hard earning anything substantial unless you where spending tons on Ads networks. I stopped using them long time ago with the introduction of other new streams of earning money online.

I can just see it now, we'll see all the doomsday people coming out tell us that Affiliate Marketing is Dead. Guess what? Affiliate marketing is not dead, the industry is just changing. The industry will always change and this is not a bad thing, you just need to adapt.

Interesting, this was a section from the email sent today, the last bit they give advice, that we need to adapt, but seems they did not adapt themselves ?

It was a great network with friendly guys

If one aff network died, that doesn't mean aff marketing is dead.

We have seen many great networks and companies died in the last years, but life continues.

It's so sad to see Peerfly go. I am so sad even though they didn't allow me
into their network.

Wish the guys behind that project luck and something big in the future.
