Hey everybody!

I am trynna understand international market, what businesses need on-premise solution, licensed software, but I can't. Coz almost everyone uses cloud platforms for direct marketing.

How do you think why they choose them?
Do you personally trust SaaS? If no, why?

I don't trust most SAAS or any software put out by IM wannabe guru types simply because there is a lot of abandonware out there by this group.

But I trust Amazon and Microsoft's business cloud services which I use daily.

Mark Singletary so, if talking about a fresh software but great one, you recommend to choose it SaaS solution, right? Because its brand name is not so known like Amazon.

Amazon offers great cloud services, but personally i prefer SaaS over other cloud services due to the accessibility and convenience of the features.

In my opinion, cloud services are better to use but I can not say confidently is it safe to use.

Thanks Wowmost, I think on-premise is really safer cause it protects your user data. That's super important for me.
But why do you believe cloud services are better?

I have more trust in SaaS on quality platforms

They have all the incentive in the world to keep their stuff updated and secure

With that said, it's all about the platform

Beware of SaaS which use typical hosting that's prone to hacking or server meltdown

Certainly hugely important! But I'd maintain that as long as you select a reputable cloud company/product like AWS, your data is actually very safe. Amazon (and Microsoft, etc) is incentivized to regularly monitor their cloud infrastructures for suspicious activity, and they also provide tools and features enabling subscribers to see exactly what is happening (they also have products like "Snowball" to assist with large scale data transfers and security).

To my mind, the above, + the efficiency that comes from not needing to worry about on-premise firewall installation and encryption software, makes (the right) cloud a pretty good option.

I would go for SaaS software. This is simply because it requires minimal to almost zero app maintenance from your end. This means that the provider is liable for the availability, disaster recovery and security of the software. Contrastingly, on-premises solutions demand that enterprise themselves cater to everything from the deployment to the maintenance of the software. This, however means that businesses enjoy absolute control over their data and a sense of ownership.

Hey! Yes, I completely trust cloud services. Not only SaaS, but another virtual desktop solution like DaaS(desktop as a service) or WaaS (workspace as a service) is a safer option than on-premise solutions. The primary reason is that cloud services reduce on-premise infra and hence the cost.
Taking cloud solutions like SaaS, WaaS, or DaaS services from a reputable provider also offer you end to end managed IT services with high data security and regular data backup in their data centers.
