Are You Using Scribd As Your Marketing Platform ? You Need To Read This

Ok I have decided to post here because there seems to be some rash of junk going around telling people to trash up web 2.0 sites with nothing but spam.

There is a proper way to use sites such as Scribd and there is a poor way to use the site. SpaMarketing is the poor way to use such a powerful site. Some seem to think web 2.0 are your marketing platforms where you can just slap your junk products and affiliate links.

Well ... Get a freaking life and learn how to market properly. These sites are not your marketing platform. There is a proper way to use these sites and not ruin it for everyone.

This is not the proper way:

This is nothing but pure junk and SpaMarketing, I hope the user finds himself banned.. This that is harsh ?? Well tuff.. becuase it is people like this that ruin sites such as Srcibd for everyone. If you are marketing in this manner I highly suggest changing the way you do things.

The proper way to use these sites are provide high quality informative documentations. Newsletter styles if you will.. Add your copyright and link to a related TLD. Do not spam the document with a bunch of junk affiliate links. Anybody that does article marketing should fully understand how to properly use Scribd.

You write up your document and provide informative information on the subject you are writing about. DO NOT expect to get sales and make sales, instead go in with the expectation of "helping" others understand about the subject you are writing about more.

Trust me by helping others they will be thankful and follow any copyright link or one related link you add at the end of your document. This is what the web 2.0 sites such as Scribd was created for "To Provide High Qulity Informative Information".. Get it out of your mind about making money.. Instead put it in your head to be "helpful and kind with no expectation of getting anything in return". Master that and the money will follow.

This is not a rant but some good advice to those that wish to use a web 2.0 site proper without getting banned.

Yeah Mr. James, you are correct, and the same thing can be said for either document-sharing sites like DocStoc.com (and many others) as well...
