What is the best place to sell own business?

Hello,

In the past like 4-5 years ago people was doing an ecommerce website, it was so popular and profitable and after a few years you was able to sell such business for at least 12x of your revenue. From my experience the most popular place for selling such business was flippa.

But what about nowadays, is it's still a good place to list your business for sale? Maybe there are new better places which receives much more visitors.

I had an actual sales experience on Flippa a few months
ago, I was selling a website there. I find that it is saturated
and the staff is extremely unprofessional. I don't expect
special treatment on a site with millions of users, but they
were awful and I would not use Flippa for any reason.

I have not used Latona's but I heard from a reliable source
that it's a great place to sell website businesses. You would
need to check their rates, it is broker based so it might be
more expensive but probably worth any added cost.

Other options are Empire Flippers, eBay, Etsy, and maybe
even Gumroad or anywhere that has a marketplace, you
just need to check their rules about selling websites and
    transferring domain names.

ChatGPT could give you some additional options.

Thanks for reply. I used flippa like I said 4-5 years ago and it was a pretty good experience, looks the quality of the site dropped a lot...

Will check Latona, never heard actually about this website.

You see what I am interested is not to sell a website business, my websites getting traffic and sales, but the main source of income/money is from forums, from big internet marketing forum accounts, I am wondering if there is a place exactly for selling such business, for example something like reddit may work? Is there any subredits for such?

I have heard other complaints about Flippa, so it wasn't
        an isolated incident.

You can search Reddit and find out.

I would not do that type of business there, but it is up to
you where you want to conduct your transactions. I am
sure there are nice people at Reddit, but I wouldn't want
to weed through curiosity seekers and lookie-loos.

All businesses are different, so there's not going to be a
        marketplace for your exact business.

Some of the website sales platforms are vetting to confirm
        that people are serious.

IDK what Latona's criteria is, you need to contact them,
or whoever you decide to go with, and inquire.

You could also search for brokers on the domain forums
such as DNForum and the like.

Again, I would urge you to use ChatGPT so that it can
help you get your site's sales description organized, it
doesn't seem that you have that in order yet.

Don't contact anyone until you get that squared away.

If your site is truly profitable and its liquidity is easy to check, it will be bought using various resources: when selling a domain with a description that it is not only the domain that is being sold, but also a business, specialized message boards and direct competitors.
It's a question of price, if you really want to sell a lot, it will take a long time, if the site is not liquid, you will also sell for a long time)))

Use an experienced website broker if you want to get the maximum out of the sale of your website. A good broker has the contacts and distribution to get your site out there but more importantly, they help write your listing in a way that will make it appeal to serious buyers.

Oh, and getting only 12 times your monthly profit is an extremely low amount. Most websites should be getting 24 months at bare minimum up to 48 months, depending on the site, market, sustainability and eCommerce model. You really need to talk to someone who knows how to market a website for maximum profit!

Flippa is not not good , I also tried to sell my business but not getting good support .
Also tried a lot of places but most of them charges very high success fee. So I leave it and waiting for some genuine buyer to contact me

    Thanks

Usually the price of the business is about the same as your income for 1 - 1.5 years.

That is the low end. It depends entirely on the website, its track record of growth, its eCommerce model. where the traffic is coming from and how evergreen it is. The more positive those factors are, the higher multiple you can get, sometimes up to 4 times your annual profit.
