Anyone know Frank Kern's autoresponder company?

Hi guys;

I was watching one of the videos on his website and he was talking about using his own autoresponder service and I checked it out. I remember it being a flat rate and NOT based on the size of the list. Seemed like a pretty good deal too!

Anyone know what it is? I swear it had "info" in the name!

Anyway,
Thanks a ton

    Hi Maverick,

I think you should not worry about autoresponder service. Aveber or getresponse.com will do the job.

Well it's mostly that as my list grows i don't want my price of hosting my list to inflate

Found it! It's a flat $29 a month for a list of any size. Excellent

Don't know if i can post links... so just look for "Mass Control List Getting Video #2" on FK's website. Its the responder used in the vids.

          SalesAutomator?

          It's a private label version of 1ShoppingCart.

Why isn't everyone using it instead of AWebber? There's GOTTA be something Awebber is doing if they're able to charge significantly more for people with larger lists?

Because they are not the same kind of service. 1Shopppingcart is a total e-commerce solution service that includes autoresponders, while Aweber is specifically an e-mail autoresponder service. It's an apples to oranges comparison.

So there's a higher chance of my emails going to a spam folder with SalesAutomator than with AWebber?

Are there any metrics to prove that... stats that compare companies, etc.

If you read a bit closer Maverick, you'll see I was responding to Frank Bruno's mention of Infusionsoft.

I'm not sure what company compares autoresponders but I'd be willing to say 90% of Warriors would recommend Aweber over 1 Shopping Cart or any private label versions of 1Shopping Cart.

I'm not dissing 1SC, as I use them myself. I just feel more confident with Aweber myself. (I have lists kind of scattered between a few services).

            Hey JMo,

            Long time no speak...

I've been SERIOUSLY considering infusionsoft recently, but keep getting VERY mixed reviews. Causes a real pause for me.

I know you're not Frank's messenger, but since you're surfin buds, perhaps you could comment -- does he regret making the move? (for the deliver-ability/spam folder issues mentioned?)

I also realize he's doing more offline (got the last couple of "private" and "partner" offers in the old snailbox). Prob 100% deliver-ability for those 1700 letters. Something to be said for OLD SCHOOL. And infusionsoft seems to tie the two together -- online/offline.

I found a SCORCHING blog post with about 100 comments on it by googling "infusionsoft" -- that didn't help my feelings.

            Any thoughts though on infusionsoft?

That goes for anyone else here using it!!!!

            JP

Hey folks, glad there's a hot discussion about this. I wanted to jump in and add some perspective that might help.

We have been having a few reports of people reporting that while emails are being delivered successfully, they notice messages might appear in Junk/Spam folders of their destination. This is important to us that all customers receive superior deliverability and we are actively investigating the causes of it.

If you have issues specifically with emails going to the spam folder that you have evidence of, please open a support ticket and include that you are observing email reputation issues and would like further review.

Not every issue can be resolved right away on this, but we will be looking at the isolated cases for adequate troubleshooting.

That said, I would like to respond to a few points in this thread. Here goes.

Jason, has you or Frank elevated this our support team? If not, I would honestly suggest to start there. We have a system to track the resolution and tickets from customers and customers can add details to tickets. If you did, please PM me your ticket number and I will have it reviewed by our support manager.

This is the same conundrum that we and the industry is in. There is no metric or mechanism to detect if a message has landed in the Inbox or the Junk folder of a recipient. We use several services (including ReturnPath) to monitor our deliverability to various seed email lists with clean content.

As a good rule of thumb, monitoring the trend of your open rates, bounces and actions (clicked links) is a simple way to determine if messages are reaching the inbox.

However, because of their strict policy it appears that their email gets delivered fairly well.
Just for clarification, we review accounts for abuse when they exceed 0.1%, (1/1000), not three ten-thousandths of a percent. Accounts are not instantly terminated. They are held under review and in a majority of cases account holders correct the issues resulting in high complaint rates.

Mind you, these are ISP complaint rates, not the internal feedback loop ones. Every single ISP spam complaint is a direct threat on deliverability for all our thousands of users.

Which brings me to your conclusion, with our strong stance against spam and abuse, we have industry-leading deliverability. We still have a little room to improve, but we work very hard to get where we are today.

Last week alone, we sent 26,504,258 emails on behalf of our users with an average 97.4% deliverability across email pools. We recently implemented a new MTA (backend email sending piece) that sends emails quicker and more reliably.

We agree! However, we break it down to these three principles in what's needed to achieve good deliverability: Infrastructure, ISP Relationships, Sender Behavior. With all three of those, deliverability will be favorable for everyone.

              ###

I hope this helps add to the discussion. I feel these are all valid points to discuss and I plan on talking about them on our blog in the future again. That said, if you have any issues with deliverability -- let our support team know so they can investigate it and elevate it as necessary. You can also let me know as well.

              All the best,
              Joe

Found the same, infact both big marketers who use Infusionsoft go straight to my spam box, when you look at how short Franks e-mails are nowadays, and how they contain zero spam based verbiage etc, It put me right off Infusion soft despite them having some damm funky functionality.

Aweber really works well, it's not ideal, for example the ability to resend to unopens is badly structured with them compared to Infusionsoft but bottom line if it ain't hitting the inbox..

Theres really no guarantee with any service its a matter of which service gets you the best delivery rate and there are other factors to consider besides server side issues.

Personally, as Jason has mentioned, I use many different services or scripts for e-mail delivering depending on what sites are involved.

There are also a lot of other marketers who build their lists using different scripts or services.

Over the years I've found Aweber seems to have the best deliverabilty rate. Server side scripts don't seem to be able to match that.

Deliverability will be impacted by a number of factors. One good resource to use for verification is offered by Return Path at http://www.senderscore.org/

You can open a free account very quickly and then begin researching autoresponder services within about a minute.

Despite claims about deliverability, the results may surprise you.

Email deliverability is not as simple as the solution used to send. There are quite literally dozens of reasons why an email might not make it to its end results. And to compound matters, an email might arrive safely at one inbox and get blocked at another - again, this is not simply a function of the tool chosen to send.
