What software do I need to make a video?

Hi Guys,

I just recently purchased a camera to make videos, but I also want to include screen shots etc in my video's

Can anyone tell me software needed to do this....the cheaper the better, but also ease of use....and not forgetting quality.

Hello Graham,

Have you heard of Camtasia? I'm sure you have.

This software is the one you need but it is a bit expensive.

There is also another option that does the same for much cheaper.

  I would recommend also Camtasia its very easy to use and most of the succesful internet marketers that i cam across with are using camtasia for their tutorials.

  well I would suggest , walking before running .. first just install " windows movie maker " if you have PC , it comes free with windows packege .... and you can test drive video making thing ....
  
  Once you are in the groove then you can go for buying expensive softwares .... which however if you like can get from us .... and we can give you substaintial discounts ....

Greetings from a fellow Englishman.....

All good advice I think. Many people consider Camtasia to be the best screen capture software there is. It is a great tool and has a lot of tools and functions, but, as tigres409 said it's pretty expensive.

There is, however, an alternative called "Camstudio", which I have and have found to be a really good tool, it's cheap, and easy to use.

Pretty much like camtasia.... Just that ITS FREE!

I mean do you really want to start by spending 297 on camtasia?

I am with Josh. Go for Sony Vegas and then for screen captures you can use wink.

By using the two you can do pretty well anything and have it all food quality.
