Wow, just my luck. Articlesbase...

Doesn't allow hoplinks anymore. Not even a redirected hoplink.

I just tried to submit an informative, high quality article, and it was rejected because it didn't like my url redirect, calling it a "direct affiliate link".

I've already searched the forums and found that other people are having the same problem, but I don't see a topic on this subject.

Is there any way I can still get my hoplinks on articlesbase, or do I need to switch to hubpages (by the way, do they rank as well as articlesbase on google?)?

This is terrible. I had such success with articlesbase, and now that's unusable for me.

If you are able to use redirects, I am sure you know how to build a quick Landing Page. Saying that though, I have never had a problem with redirects with AB. Sometimes articlesbase screws up so just copy your article, close AB in your browser and try again. If that doesn't work then maybe they have recently changed their policy regarding redirects. What's strange with articlesbase is that they let you direct link to CPA offers but not to Clickbank for some reason

Alright, it looks like they've changed their policy. I just exited firefox, started it again, pasted the article back in and got the same error.

Sounds like they just made a quick check for the word "clickbank" in url's and redirects, but neglected to call attention to other affiliate networks.

This isn't so clear for me, are you simply putting your hoplink in your resource box?

Or are you putting a link to your domain and redirecting from there?

Alot of the article directories will not allow you to simply put a link to an affiliate product, however they will let you link to a domain and use that as a redirect.

As mentioned before you could always put up a landing page and "build a list", I would go that route because not capturing the visitors email you are going to have lower conversions and only one time sales.

        Anyhow hope this might help...

It's a redirect, meaning I have a domain and redirect 301 from that domain to my affiliate link. It's in the body of the article.

This was always okay with articlesbase, until around december, it seems.

If you don't want to buy a domain, you could always just make a quick blogger blog with a brief pre-sale of the product you're trying to promote with your affiliate link at the blogger blog.

This may actually help you convert better if people see a pre-sell before you send them to the affiliate product.

Try this, create a blogger blog and redirect it your clickbank hoplink.

Then link to this blog in your article and see if articlebase accepts this

The redirects are still working for me but I purchased a generic domain name for all redirects. Maybe that is what you should be doing

you mean you purchased a .info domain and make subdomains to redirect to your clickbank products with?

Well, that's strange. There must be some sort of bug in the system, because that's what I'm doing and it's worked on all of my past articles, except for this one.

I'll try renaming the subdomain and see if it accepts it.

EDIT: if it doesn't, I'll try redirecting from blogger or trying to landing page with list.

Well, I purchased a .com domain and I don't even bother using subdomains because it takes to long to propagete to the internet sometimes which is fatal when using google trends for some of your articles. Also, I find that using my own LP's has a better conversion rate than redirecting visitors for some reason.

      Easy enough fix

Figure out what the IP address is that article base is using to click the link from your stats page or whatever...then configure the link to direct that IP address to another site - Meaning when that ip clicks the link it goes to a page with a ton of content/etc on it, that they would obviously approve of....everyone else would redirect to your clickbank hoplink

What kind of landing pages? The kind with huge bolded words and catchy phrases, or can it just be a review for the product I'm promoting?

      That makes sense.

I'll see if godaddy has this kind of feature or if there are any ways I can go about doing this.

How many articles do you have?

Mine gets approved instantly. The only thing I can not do is have a hoplink in the text. Write 10 or so articles, then you will get auto approval.
