My Problem On List Building...What's Yours?

Hi Warriors,

I just built a site dedicated to my list building.
The site is up and running with
the optin-form and an order button
for the OTO. After that, I pinged it
and I didn't noticed that the domain
I used was an old domain so the content
has been crawled by the search engines.
At that time, I was not aware that
I forgot to upload the files for the OTO
because it's just minutes away and I
underestimate the value of it that time
until I saw two payments for the OTO.
I was excited but afraid of losing it because
the OTO files are not yet uploaded. WHAAAH

Another problem is the Internet connection
When I tried to upload it, it disconnect several
times...so I drink a coffee while waiting to
restart my computer. I restarted my computer
to make me feel I am just starting my day. In my
amazement, the Internet connection goes faster
than my regular speed..well, I feel lucky

My conclusion is, I have to upload first the
files that is for sale before uploading the landing
page and the autoresponder email series when using an
old domain or expired domain because it might have
a good traffic.

What's your problem in your list building effort?
It might be a problem of mine later that I didn't
encountered yet. Thanks!

Best Regards,

Ross

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

I tried uploading my videos before in my server that is why I use youtube
because they have high speed servers.
Is it not a good choice uploading video to youtube and use it in your site?
I feel somehow that my brand isn't shown much because of their logo.

If you want a steady high speed broadband the be sure to pay some thousands of dollar monthly for that. I can't clearly watch videos even on youtube and so are my Nigerian clients.

Ross, I want to contact you for some private issues... Can you PM me your email?
      22kbps? Ah that's too bad!
you should save your cache to make your favorite site always displays faster.

Ok send me a PM and I will PM you back

The problem I have with youtube is the 10 minute limit. Do I just not make videos over 10 minutes or post them in pieces on the site?

I once watched a series of videos on a certain health related issue. The guy that shot the videos uploaded each video individually as 2 or 3 minute videos. I was really interested in the subject, so I watched them all.

Afterwards I thought to myself, what a smart marketing move!

Each video is an entry point!

I am thinking of this too. Series of videos with only few minutes
each part makes people find it interesting and not boring since
we only have to watch a few minutes and when we are hooked.
        That's the problem

But thinking of using it in our marketing plan, is a good choice.
It's like a bum marketing strategy wherein you submitted
an article to article sites and you let your author box display
"Get the Part II of this article at mysite.com"

I really don't know that there is a limit of 10 minutes in Youtube but I aware
that they have a limit on the size of the video. The AVI file is bigger than
other video file types. So I sometimes use MP4 or WMV..I didn't tried yet the FLV
      if youtube accepts it.

How about making it a series and post it in video sites? That way you can
increase your traffic while your content grows (like 10 minutes each part).
