I think i'm in love with PLR Content

PLR can be very helpful, but a word to the wise - there's a lot of absolute crap PLR out there, so choose it carefully or you'll quickly fall out of love with it.

By the way, PLR is best used as a basis for your own work. Edit it, rewrite it, whatever. Using it as it is, is what most people do, so if that's all you do with it your material will be exactly the same as thousands of other users. Hard to set yourself apart by being the same.

Hope that wasn't too much of a wet blanket for you, just trying to save you some money and aggravation. There is some really good PLR out there, but don't expect a home run (or even a base hit) every time you buy some PLR because the odds are against that happening.

Correct. Also, PLR products can get recycled pretty quickly, especially the popular ones. Becareful which ones you choose.

I know the feeling. I am trying to create a few of my own products to resell but just do not have the time to start these projects from scratch so I am using PLR.

I make sure that I use PLR that has limited licence distributions so I know that the content I am using is not splashed all over the Internet!

PLR is content that you can change in any way you like.

Seach google for PLR and you get an idea...

It's a lot of crap out there so maybe you should ask here for good PLR content if you're going to buy.

I think the trick with finding good PLR is by actually knowing a thing or two about the topic, then reading through the PLR product to see if it's good enough to modify some and make your own product.

As far as knowing if it's good before you buy it, the best thing to do is buy from a reputable source.

  But I've seen a lot of times, when it's obvious that no one has even done a simple check for spelling or content. I've seen many spelling errors. And content that is not even relevant.
  An example: an article about digital cameras. The article mentioned 3 megapixel cameras as being state of the art. What are we up to now? At least 12 megapixels.

You can also search this forum as there have been several threads about who puts out great PLR.

I personally like Tiffany Dow's Plrminimart, Nicole Dean's Easyplr, Alice and Mila's AllPrivateLabel Content, Rosie Cottis' Flamillion, and InfoGoRound. These are just a few off the top of my head.

PLR can save hundreds of hours. It can save hundreds of dollars and can multiply your traffic and increase your revenue ten fold.

All you need to do is ensure you pin-point high quality PLR and ensure that you re-write a percentage of the content you receive.

It's the quickest and easiest way to create your own products. Like Dennis said, look out because there is a lot of crap. Whatever you do, make sure you add to any plr report and take out anything you don't like. You want to make it as unique as possible.

I love PLR too and I buy a lot of them. I think it's important to do a bit of research not only on the PLR product but on the guy who's selling it... Some marketers are experts in PLR products and always over-deliver. Find out about the reputation of the man you're looking to buy from and that will tell you a great deal about the quality of the PLR package he's selling.

PLR is good, if you are on a hurry and need some ok content. Now the best way to get quality content is using public domain.

It is probably 4000% more powerful than PLR if you know how to tap into this treasure.

And the best part is free or very close to free.

Again let me put emphasis on knowing how to tap into it.

There is abit of learning curve, but once you learn it. You are good to go for live in terms of unlimited content.

I've got a big problem with PLR stuff, I don't have so much time to use all of it in all its variations!

Articles, videos, audios, reports, ebooks, free reports, viral reports, course, physical conversions, rewriting, new ecovers,... there are literally hundreds of ways of using the PLR... I do love it and it makes me money.

I am a big fan of PLR products, and always search for good PLR products available, In fact, I'm addicted to this type of products. Yes PLR needs to be repackage, but it can save time and money.

When you are on this forum, you learn or know what PLR is and you get to a point where you recognize the same stuff and where it has gone - and you can become jaded that it has no value.

I think the thing to remember is that to the non marketer a lot of this information will really be new to them and if you package it the right way you can charge for it what you want - provided the original quality is good.

It's important to know how to edit PLR, and to change the wrapper it comes in so it looks even more fresh and new.

When you say sell the PLR to the "Non Marketer" with what intent is it being sold?

Meaning is the "Non Marketer" interested in re-writing and selling it as their won products?

Or is it being sold to the "Non Marketer" as a product?

I'm talking about the audience who gets to enjoy the materials that originated from PLR.

As an example - someone might want to start using Twitter in their business and so they go out looking for a great Twitter marketing course. This could be someone with a small offline business.

There could be 5 products they find, all about Twitter - and each could be exactly the same content.

This guy needs just one course - so he is going to go for the one in the prettiest package and that perhaps has some additional bonus of some kind.

So yes, I'm covering the end user who gets the product.

Yeh PLR articles can be great if your are creating a ebook or some sort of give away to get your visitor to subscribe to your site. Saves me a lot of time and money sometimes.

Well, text based PLR products such as articles, reports and ebooks
are relatively easy to customize. I mean, you know what you should do
with it to make it yours (rewrite, rearrange, add something, turn it ´
into audio, create new graphics, etc.).

But there are also PLR videos and PLR software/scripts that are not
so easy to customize.

Do you know how to customize a video product in order to sell it
as your own? What to do? How to replace the voice, how to change
parts of the video you want to change, how to make the video shorter
or longer? All that is necessary if you want to use it as your own
product, but how to do it? And how many people are really doing it?
Almost nobody. People just stick their name as the author on a video
product and sell it 'as is', but how clever is that regarding your image
as a marketer?

And if you hire a professional who knows how to do those changes
the price will be almost same as for video creation from scratch.
PLR videos are worthless in terms of making it your own product if you
are not a professional video producer.
