Yahoo Answers - Where do you put your Answer?

Hi,
I've written a blog post and am doing a bit of link building. On Yahoo Answers I can see someone has asked a question (I'm logged in) and 4 others have answered it. I'd like to add my answer but can't see an 'Answer' button.
Is the question closed or something?

I've simply added a new 'Comment' on one of the other's Answer but it's not what I'm looking for.

    Its probably a resolved question meaning the best answer has been chosen. Just look for open questions and you should be able to answer those questions. You can also use the search feature to access open questions in your chosen category.

    Thing is there are no open questions in my niche. Lots of questions but no open ones.

    I hope a comment will suffice as a backlink.

      I think yahoo answers is nofollow so you won't get any backlinks

      You can only get direct traffic from Yahoo answers

        Definitely no follow but this raises the debate on the value of non follow links.

        Regardless you can get some decent traffic and help with your reputation in that niche.

      Those links are nofollow links. I hope that you are not planning to spend a lot of time there as a strategy for link building.

    Hmmm that sux. Was hoping to use that.
    What would you suggest as a quick backlink mechanism (other than forums and article directories)?
    What I mean by quick as in something like comments on a blog or something as I'm doing an article / forums strategy but they're a bit of a mission so looking for something else.
