    You could hire me

There are a bunch of different places to look for providers but I wouldn't use rates as your first criteria for judgment.

    Just sayin'...

if you just need specific tasks completed, then oDesk would be a good resource for you. I've had a lot of success with them for that. You can also hire someone on oDesk and you have the ability to see screenshots of their computer at regular intervals to ensure that they are doing the work you are paying them for.

      you could also use

      scriptlance.com
      elance.com
      rentacoder.com

      I hope this helps...

Yeah I would agree with oDesk, I got a lot more reliable help out of odesk than I did with Guru.com, I tried both at one point

It all depends what you are looking for. It is also a matter of chance. There really is no particular country that does certain things best. I outsource to India for a lot of my web creation but for my articles I do not go very far. I prefer to pay an American freelance writer for well written NATIVE English articles. After all, Americans need the money just as much as freelancers abroad.

You can join one of a number of different freelancing sites as an employer and test the waters. But, as I mentioned already it is a matter of chance and trial and error. You may hit the jackpot with a great freelancer the first time around or you may not. But, that is a chance you run with outsourcing to third world countries in an attempt to save some money.

    Hi atlconsultants,

Please provide the specification of your project so we can carefully assess your needs. We are an offshore staff leasing company based in Manila, Philippines and we specialize in providing a wide range of human resource and personnel management.

odesk and scriptlance are freelance sites were in the staffs are working from home. I suggest to hire a company instead of a freelancer. Staff leasing is better than freelance work because leased staff are permanent workers of a company and are easy to reach in case you need them. Freelancers do not have employers so they do as they please and sometimes cannot be contacted for various reasons.

Good thing about hiring a company is that the staff that you lease are backed by a good management and technical team also, your files and data are secured and confidential. We make sure the staff that you lease are 100% working for you and dedicated.

Please check your PM and see my sig for more info. We provide highly competent and dedicated staff at affordable prices.

What exactly do you want to outsource? You can often do articles by yourself, but if you're not skilled in web design (like me ) you could look at outsourcing.

I own and run the reDiscova Network, a group of web sites focusing on a number of different U.S. cities. None of my sites are affiliated with the governments of the towns they focus on. Latest additions to the network include Cynthiana, Kentucky and Harper Woods, Michigan.

I think the other warriors have already posted the resources you can use for outsourcing.

The Philippines is indeed one country where a lot of outsourcing goes to. India comes up in the conversation as well.

I think there have been other threads about this but there have been those who praise the people they get from these countries and there have been those who say that they don't like the experience because the quality of the work was bad etc etc.

If it's content you're looking for their biggest argument against outsourcing to these countries is that they are not native English speakers so even if they are good at it they're not good enough to pick out the nuances of the market.

Then there are those who say the output was better than native English speakers.

As with anything that concerns outsourcing you will get the pros and the cons.

I suggest trying one out first and seeing which one works for you. From what has been posted before don't expect to get the perfect match the first time.

I mean it would be good if you do but you may have to go through a couple before you find a "keeper."

As for the freelance versus company arguments you get a lot of difference in opinion right there.

There are those who like freelancers because they are more personal and you're only dealing with one person and not have to go through channels where things can get lost in the translation.

Course the drawback is if that freelancer decides to quit you have no further recourse because he or she simply won't answer you anymore.

As for using a company, like jedz said earlier, the advantage is you are working with a corporate entity that has management and support to back up the people you hire through them.

Some have said though that because of turnover the person you hired to work with before will simply be changed so you may wind up with a different person than the one you started with.

And just in case jedz, I'm not suggesting your company is like that. I just want to make that clear.

So check out the resources that have been recommended to you here. Take a look at their qualification but know that what looks good initially may not be good for you.

Remember that samples, as with any samples, is the pick of the lot.

That being said be upfront with what you require from them and when you want it done.

Since you are outsourcing, things can and do get lost in the translation.

Good luck and hope you find the people that will fit with your needs.

I agree that the Philippines is a good place to outsource to but it also depends on what work you will be outsourcing.

oDesk is good, you can always hire American college kids for cheap too. I once hired a college student that wrote content for me -- around $4 for 350 words for my blog. If you want good VA with superior language, odesk is the way to go from what I heard.
