Is my blog good enough to start affilate marketing?

I just began a blog yesterday for affiliate marketing and I'm trying to build up traffic but so far no luck, I'm wondering if my blog is boring or if I'm doing something wrong? Also Google adsense declined my application cause of my traffic. Is there any affiliate marketing sites where they dont require you to apply and wait?

Google doesn't care about your traffic, they declined you because your site is one day old and likely is very thin on content. I know of many, many new sites that have been approved but they all had at least 25 to 50 pages of content.

Are you using Word Press? Do you have any plugins? Tags? How much content? Video? Images? There is a lot of good information here in the WF regarding content, traffic, SEO for your blog. Do a little research and you will be amazed at the free education you will get.

      Good luck!

You started your blog yesterday and you expect tons of traffic today? Dude I think you need to think long term like start blogging frequently. Traffic does not automatically find you, you have to create it. Anyway if you just started your blog I wouldn't recommend affiliate links in the first few post either.

In the mean time try doing some guest post and blog commenting, that should get some traffic to your blog.

No, don't do this. It's called comment spamming and it is the scourge of the internet. Worry about getting some content first, then worry about traffic.

You know, you can actually comment on other blogs AND backlink yourself and have it NOT be comment spam. Just saying it's not AUTOMATICALLY the "scourge of the internet".

If you actually contribute, it can be really effective not just for traffic, but for establishing your existence and rankings within a given niche market.

But the other thing you said, worrying about content before you worry about traffic? That's true. In fact, if you did nothing but worry about content, traffic would take care of itself eventually. The opposite is NOT true.

If you have a different website that's been up longer and has greater content history you can submit that one instead of your blog and just add your blog later. But if you don't, you definitely need more content first.

And there's NO WAY you're going to get steady traffic in one day!! It can take weeks - even months - for that to happen.

Try linking some ezine articles to your blog. That's usually the easiest free way to get traffic, at least initially.

You've definitely got to give it longer than a day buddy. Most people don't see any sort of money for a few months! Haha

Post a link to your blog though so we can all check it out!

One can only assume that you have an IM course right? Just follow the course exactly. And to be honest, I have blogs (free ones) that took months before they got any traffic.

If you have a blog, then do some guest posting. It's a good way to get back links, but the real bonus is the people you meet and the money making opportunities you get involved in. A lot of times the blog owner will read your post, accept it, then post back on your blog.

This helps your site get higher rankings in Google. Just make sure you are posting content worth reading. Nobody likes reading boring s*it.

1 day. Dude, Rome wasn't built in a day. Forget about it. Just make it a habit to work on your blog for at least 4 hours a day. That's content, links and traffic. Stay focused.

    Peace,

P.S. "burn the boats" Let the thought of retreat escape your mind.

        Hey Doris,

Agreed with the crowd here - don't get anxious about the traffic for right now
and save some patience for the next couple of months.

On the practical side and addressing some of your questions:

        - Affiliate networks that don't have you go through approval hassles:
Clickbank - this will get you busy for awhile and is easy to use.

        - Getting approved by google adsense:
My first website(2 years ago) was approved having only 10 pages,so
there's no set-in-stone rule as to how much content google wants.
The important part is how you present the content. Very simple rule of thumb to follow is sprucing up the written content by pics and videos.
Also, take the time to format the pages with easily readable paragraphs and
make sure you use text-wrapping when inserting pics into text.
That will ensure your pages look attractive and engaging which not only will
help you have google take your site seriously, but also will appeal to the site visitors and improve your readership and rankings in the long run.

And of course, master the skill of researching low-competition keywords
that are easy to rank for and then use them in your content, meta tags,page/post titles and blog tags. Do it right and its the battle half-won

In may seem like a chore at the beginning, but if you follow this procedure for 2-4 weeks, you'll start to realize it's getting easier and easier and eventually becomes your second nature. That's where the fun begins and success will follow soon thereafter.

Best of work and best of luck!

Ever heard of a word patience?

Seriously 1 day? How are we supposed to find your blog by the way? It's not on your post and you haven't got a signature set up with it on.

You can have the best blog in the world, with the best contet but unless you learn how to drive traffic to your website (even with having good SEO plug ins etc.) no one will see it.

What's your blog content about? How regularly are you planning on posting? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem more bothered about making money from your blog, i.e. with adsense rather than what the content is about. It's important to add value and offer useful information to the reader, that way they will come back again and more importantly spread the word about your blog.

    Best of luck.

Like others have said, 1 day is nothing. It's going to take MUCH longer than that to see some results! What else are you doing to generate traffic?

have you tried clickbank? one page of product review in your blog is enough (even if u use blogger). promote it in forum and get money. traffic is nothing if it has low conversion. dont give up my friend.you can do it.u just have to know that it is not easy as you think. everyone has their own time to success in IM.Cheers
