Wordpress Comment Question

When someone leaves a comment on my Wordpress page and I approve it, does that count as an "update to the site" in Google's eyes?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I'm trying to choose between XSP and Wordpress for my next conduit site. I'm wary of WP being hacked into and I'm wary of the bad coding in XSP, so the "update to the site" thing is my deciding factor.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, any new addition to a site, comment or otherwise, is seen by Google as a new addition to a site. That is why user-generated contents makes Facebook and Yahoo Answers do so well.

Hmm, dunno about a page per comment. I'd rather go for a paging comment plugin - 5-10 per page, rather than have a new page very light on content.

As for WP itself - it is pretty secure, provided you keep it up to date. Most vulnerabilities come from plugins. Only install the ones you trust!
