      I didn't get the exact figure but from my estimate around 45% to 50% of my product sales come from them.

    I have used oodle and it works great. I have tried hundreds of classified sites and it made my short list with

    isell
    Hoobly
    USFreeads
    Backage.com

    Also note that in the last two, you can add videos which help increase click through.

    Cheers,

      Imagine if you were giving away a free report through this service.

      Might not be a bad way to build a list of prospects.

      Just a thought.

        Okay, I just went to Oodle and did a little investigating as far as their TOS.

        I'm not going to get into a big long to do about this but...it appears to me,
        from reading their TOS, that selling ebooks is probably against their TOS.

        Certainly building a list off a free report is based on one of their clauses that
        you will collect no information from other users of Oodle.

        IMO, this is another Craigslist and a slippery slope for marketing info products.

        It's not what it was designed for and it's only a matter of time before they
        start to crack down just like Craigslist did.

        Personally, I'm staying away from this one.

          I'm not seeing this anywhere. In fact, here's their list of prohibited items:

          Items that are specifically prohibited on Oodle:

          * Alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
          * Animals, plants and insects that are regulated or prohibited for sale under applicable laws.
          * Blood, bodily fluids and body parts.
          * Embargoed goods.
          * Items designed to be used to commit a crime including not without limitation burglary tools, false identification and items used to manufacture illegal explosives or controlled substances.
          * Material that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other third party rights.
          * Misrepresentations and counterfeit or fraudulent items.
          * Material that contains obscene material, child pornography or is harmful to minors.
          * Prescription drugs, medical devices, controlled substances, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia.
          * Nonprescription drugs that make false or misleading claims that might require FDA approval.
          * Services or merchandise that promote hatred and violence against specific groups of people.
          * Services that are illegal including without limitation prostitution.
          * Stocks and other securities.
          * Stolen goods or property with serial number removed or altered.
          * Weapons (including but not limited to firearms, martial arts weapons, silencers, ammunition, disguised, or switchblade knives, BB guns, stun guns or tear gas) and weapons parts.
          * Fireworks.
          * Items containing hazardous substances or pesticides.
          * Items that restrict transfer (such as tickets or coupons) and items you are not authorized to sell.
          * Content that can intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, or any regulations having the force of law, including the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Fair Housing Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

    It always pays to read the TOS, these companies start suing internet marketers then it will not be pretty for the person doing it... I actually was on oodle today looking for puppies with my sister... wow you really have to be careful on the classified sites... we asked a question about a puppy almost got an immediate reply (autoresponder no doubt) telling to send $250 western union first, etc. Had nothing to do with our question.. This was out of state..... have no idea why someone would want to buy a puppy and have it shipped 2000 miles away... Anyway, be careful and always read the TOS of sites you are promoting on.

    There is nothing in the TOS that prohibits the selling of eBooks; as long as you have complete rights to sell these, why not?

    In fact, free eBooks ready for download are being advertised there. However, the distinctive feature of Oodle's service is open for abuse of use by internet marketers..

      This is copied from their TOS

      You agree not to post, email, otherwise make available Content that:
      • Collects, stores or solicits information about other users or members for commercial or unlawful purposes or engage in commercial activity such as contests, sweepstakes, etc. without Oodle's prior consent
      Basically, to use this to grow a list would be out of the question. Unless you just post a free ebook WITHOUT asking for names and emails. You could go that route and just hope they buy the product from your ebook.

      Anyway, this is the first time I've heard of this. I'll not sign up for it just yet. Maybe it's my loss. Dunno. But if I have to FIND a loophole to use a system, then it's not for me.

      Peace,

      Shane

    It is funny how there can be a promising product or service shared and then one person states an opinion on why it might not be "all that" and then others buy into it and get discouraged without looking into it for themselves ... the herd mentality!

    I looked at Oodle and I also don't see where selling eBooks or collecting e-mail addresses would violate their TOS. But the TOS is also a big pile of legal mumbo jumbo that makes my head hurt, so I probably missed it.

    Two things though - the OP has been asked a few times if he used the Pro Plan, but I couldn't find his response. The Pro Plan seems to be dedicated to companies who are advertising, so again it makes me question why collecting leads would be against their TOS?

    And also, what category would be suitable for selling eBooks in the first place? When I looked at Oodle I could not see a category that would fit.

    There is always loopholes. Send them
    to a blog with content and optional optin. If you send them to forced optin you violate the tos. If you send them to some interesting free content and optional optin (with hints they can optin to get more goodies) should not violate it at all.
