When Should/Could I start doing List Swaps?

Hey guys,

I have just started developing a list in a new niche and have over 150 subscribers so far. I was just wondering at what point would I be able to start doing list swaps with people? Is 150 enough people or would it not be worth anyones time to start with this?

Thanks for any opinions on this, my niche is sports betting if this helps with your answer!

You can start whenever you want, you just need to find somebody with a similar list size in your niche. However, I wouldn't start doing swaps before reaching at list 1K subscribers, simply because I think that 1 or 2 subscribers are not worth my time.

However, it depends on your situation. If you think that it will take a lot of time until you reach 1K you may start doing swaps when you have 500 or even less subscribers.

Yeah thanks man, just a pain because the signups are dripping in 1-2 a day so its going to take a while before I get up there. Push on anyway I say, the only time success comes before work is in the dictionary!

Another question and I didnt want to start a whole new thread about it. How much do people generally charge for list blasts? My list provides free sports picks to my subscribers on a nearly daily basis, something I feel gives real value. I am looking to get this list up and over the 1000 mark within the next month and am not against paying to get it there.

I know this is kind of like how long is a piece of string but...how much should I be looking to pay per signup?

    Thanks for any help guys

I was wondering about this for a while so thanks or asking it. I'll consider list swap in a little while.

You want to have a big enough list that it will actually lead to conversions. If you have a list of 100 it will maybe lead to 4-6 sales if it's a good list and a good product. So you need a list of like 1k for it to be a good swap.

    How's it going Jason.

It's been said before but as long as you find someone willing to swap then your list could be any size.

A range of figures that I always here thrown around are 350-500 subscribers on your list to be "worth a swap".

But, to get around this, are you sweetening the deal for your potential list swap partners?

Do you have a product of your own as a one time offer?

You can offer your potential list swap partners a high percentage of the offer price (make it 100%) and you'll have many more people lining up to so swaps with you!

Use something like clickbank or paydotcom to offer comissions.

You won't mind not making any money on the offer, because now other people are building a list of BUYERS for you!

If you haven't got a product of your own. Then just make one. Fire up your headset and record an audio.

Make it high value and low priced and then offer the comissions to your swap partner.

People will then start seeking you out to do swaps with. Especially if your offer converts well.

Also saw a couple of list blasts going the other day for $497 and $997.

Just be careful with it though. Look at what they offer.

Reach new heights my friend and good luck.

    Nathan
