Hey guys, i would like to start out by saying you guys are great! I discovered the world of internet marketing not too long ago, and with that i found you (thank god!).

I would like to think that i am well knowledgeable about most IM related things, but i am still quite a newbie. I come here today for some help, and i am certain you all can help me. I have a family member with an already established offline business and also a website(but does not receive much traffic). He is in the business of teaching, for example, music lessons or karate school . On this website he sells his teaching dvds and other services.

I want to help him by promoting these products via clickbank. The products are an Ebook and instructional videos. Why i feel we can make it work is that he is an authority in the subject with much credibility, can provide many honest testimonials, and have multiple products to offer.

What i ask of you is the best way to set up such a campaign? Should we create a completely separate website for the products? should we create a membership website and offer the ebook and videos together?

Basically what i am asking you all is what is some helpful advice in becoming a successful clickbank vendor. I feel we have all the tools and services needed, and i would really like to help out my family.

Thank you

Try using the search feature to find what you need. There are lots of threads already discussing everything about promoting products through Clickbank.

    Good luck!

There are multiple ways to promote products, first ask yourself if you want to be making websites, if not, you can get into social media marketing such as Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon or Fiverr. You can also write articles in this case and link to the ClickBank offer directly. You can also use PPC but I don't recommend it as it's not necessarily newbie friendly.

If you do want to build websites there are a variety of ways to build them and get them popular, then link to your promoting products. There are literally hundreds of ways to drive traffic, you just need to pick one that works well, perfect it and do it often!

    Welcome and good luck!

Thanks for the Info so far guys. I might not have been very specific in my first post and for that i apologize.

What i have to work with is an already established business and website with products and services. It is very slow and it is just something that is done on the side. I want to turn it into something more and i think using clickbank to promote is the way to go.

The problem i am having is what direction to take regarding clickbank. I can do a membership site, simply sell the ebook and try to upsell the videos, many different angles to choose.

This is my first time doing this and i would absolutely love it if someone with experience in the matter would take a little time to talk to me in Pm and i can discuss in detail what questions i have. I want to show you the website and the various products and services and get your ideas on the best way to put them together for being a clickbank vendor.

    Thanks again

Well the first step would be getting his website some local traffic, you know how to do that right? Next, put up a offer box in the upper right with a quick benefit and a strong call to action that either goes to your presell or right to the offer page.

Continuity is the biggest factor when merging offline and online business
as far as marketing it goes creating a community of past users is a great way to build the online reputation on the quick
building a facebook fan page for the product and inviting those happy customers to discuss their experiences would create a lot of great dialog
supplement that with a twitter account where your relative sheds light on the topic of his expertise to draw more people to the community
make sales there then open it up to affiliates
but i say the first thing is to get the community going and build the online comfortability of the product

If your family member has an offline business. I would first start advertising that business locally online so you can increase business sales first.

The ebook is just another method of making extra money on top of his already established business.

Once you establish a website for them and it has a significant amount of visitors you can then offer an ebook later on. But with no traffic it's hard to sell an ebook.

If you want to pick my brain and me tell you what I think you should do. Feel free to PM me. I like helping others.

I have a similar course in a similar market, and this is how I have it set up.

I use a product called digital access pass and WordPress to create a membership site.

I then used digital access pass' feature to integrate clickbank.

So, not only do I get the benefit of a superior membership site, but I also get the benefit of using clickbank's affiliates to promote my product.

Now, the reason why I would suggest that you set up a new membership site is for community. You can build a community that will stick around. Plus, doing it this way you can charge a one-time fee, and then possibly upsell to a membership site for the community aspect of the site. Now, not only are you able to sell the front end DVDs and courses, but you can have a low-end continuity program for say $9.97 a month on the backend to be a part of the community.

That alone will exponentially increase your profits.

Obviously there's a lot more that goes into it then that, but it's impossible for me to show you how to set up the entire system in one short blog post :-)

hey guys thanks for the info so far it has been super helpful. I'm sorry i have not been specific, hopefully i can provide a little more information.

The person i am helping owns and operates a karate school. He has a website where he sells nunchaku dvds. There are multiple volumes, and he also offers belt tests in the nunchacku form, and a recently created ebook that i asked him to make.

The information has been helpful and and i think shannons digital pass is a great idea.

I can not PM anyone on here but if anyone can help me with a little be more specifics that would be very helpful,

    Thank you

Do searches for similar products. Make note of who ranks high. Check out Google ads for similar stuff. If they continue to place these ads they're most likely successful. In other words, study what the competition is doing and then model it.

If you put together a really good offer and a really good sales page your next step would be to attract some heavyweight affilates to help you promote your stuff. Tony Robbins has been noted for saying, "Success Leaves Clues." He's right. There's no need to re-invent the wheel. Good luck!
