I want to interview someone, produce a information product (ebook /video etc) and market it on a dedicated website.

If anyone has done this approach what type agreements would you come with the person you interview etc.?
Thanks

No, you don't need a lawyer, in my experience, you talk to the expert and you do 2 things:

    a) pay for his/her time.

    b) You give them a copy of the final edited interview to use for his own promotion.

Usually that is enough, because they don't have the marketing skills to sell it, so you son't have to worry about it.

Yes, you don't have to worry about this.

And if you have no money, but the "Guru" wants money you can tell him , that you will advertise his product on the download page.

I made this, and it worked.

Im happy to pay people for their time. Just don't want them to chase me later saying they want more money (unless we agreed before).

      Thanks for the replies

Well, It can be that simple, but there's one step you SHOULD take.

Whenever you put 'talant' in front of the camera with the intention of using their image / voice for profit, you should have them sign a "release form." This is a common practice. The Release form says that they give you permission to use their image/voice, that YOU own the produced content, and that their compensation is (enter amount here), with no further compensation, royalties or promotional consideration. You can find releases all over the internet. You don't need a lawyer but you SHOULD have (at least) this.
