Paypal- Changing account from Personal -> Premier - one issue...

I am trying to turn my paypal from a personal to a Premier account, but it redirects me to a Upgrade to a business account only, no premier option? - I dont want business but premier only!

Here is what shows

Account Type: Personal Upgrade

Status: Verified

After clicking upgrade, here is what comes:

Upgrade your existing account to a Business account



The advantages of a Business account are:
  • The ability to hold the account under a company or group name
  • The ability to give business employees different levels of access to the account
  • A comprehensive suite of solutions
  • Provide your user base with customer service information
Upgrade now | Cancel (buttons)


Shouldnt it be saying Upgrade to premier or business, and give me the choice?

(i didnt want to click the upgrade button incase it turns my personal account into a business. I want premier only!)

i currently have a personal account as that is what is showing on my
Account Type: Personal

    I just have a normal account... I dont think that you need to upgrade.

      If by "normal" you mean personal - then upgrade it very quickly or change it to at least premier before you start selling anything. You can NOT use a personal account to sell stuff.

        Yep normal = personal.

        I wont start selling anything before I turn it to premier.

        The question is when i click the upgrade button, it says "change to business - click upgrade or cancel" - There is no Change to premier button (unless that is on the next page, following the upgdade button? ) :confused:



        Here is what comes up on the help, but...

        1. Click My Account and log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.
        2. Click Upgrade Account in the Enhance Account box.
        3. Click Upgrade Now.
        4. Choose a Business or Premier account.
        5. Click Continue.
        6. If you chose to upgrade to a Business account, fill in your business information and click Continue.

        But....On steps 3 it says "upgrade to business". Where i thought it would say upgrade to premier or business ? why is it just offering upgrade to business only ?

      A normal account is very limited and is only suitable for personal use. No serious marketer would use it as a payment gateway. Advance marketers will want to use features like IPN, which a normal account won't have. You are also very limited in the amount of funds you can process, so unless you are just a part-time marketer you'll hit the brick wall pretty soon.

      As I recall the upgrade was simple. And if you get stuck just phone them - I have always found PayPal to be very helpful on the phone.

      it is sorted.

      It was Freezing on one page, for business account upgrade only.

      So I deleted cookies and temp internet files, and I refreshed all pages, and it came up with the option of premier? or business!
