Do These Videos Really Work?

Video marketing is one of the areas that I have alot to learn yet in.

I have a concern hoping savvy video marketers can help with.

Do short, 40-60 seconds promotional videos, (like the ones provided here on the wf in the WFH section and so, mostly with sliding photos/some text and a music background) really work?

Did they do any good for your site regarding traffic/ranking?

And do they generate interest?

I like to here your input.

Yep. Here's the model that I know works:

Short promo/marketing video with flashy fly-in words and some nice backgrounds and exciting music. Redirect or at least point viewers to a squeeze page offering something closely related to the video's content.

Do some keyword research to find the best long-tail keyword that doesn't have much competition at Google and name your video that. Also use the long-tail phrase in your video description. It will have a decent shot at ranking at Google and bringing you traffic. If that happens, your video might get enough views at YouTube to move up in YouTube's rankings, as well. Double whammy! Use a high-converting squeeze page, rinse and repeat, and you're in business.

      Thanks John

That's exactly what I am doing right now...I was planning to do some SEO tricks on the videos to get them ranked higher, but was concerned to do the work on a non-converting type of videos, but you're saying they work.....Amen
