Hi Kerry, welcome to the forum. Its too bad you spent so much money before coming to this forum but don't think that there aren't the same kind of stuff here either. Here they are called WSOs and I see a ton of people get caught up in those as well. I recommend that you stay away for now.

So your goal is to make enough money to work from home right? Well having a deadline is start, May for you it seems. Now you just need to put your goal in terms of $$$. How much money per day/week/month would you need to make to be able to achieve your goal?

From now until May you have 6 months. That is just enough time to really make an impact, just make sure not to get caught up in the WSOs or even this forum. Make sure that for every hour you spend learning you spend an hour DOING something.

If you don't have much of a budget then you should start out with affiliate marketing. Learn about article marketing, pay-per-click and search engine optimization. You're going to be applying one, some or all of these to make money.

No matter which one you go with you will need to do a ton of keyword research. I know I just told you not to get caught up on spending but you do have some money spend you will want to pick up a tool called Market Samurai (one-time payment).

Market Samurai is really one of the best investments I have ever made and even if you can't budget it just yet make sure to at least sign up for the free trial. Even after the trial runs out you still have access to some great features and you can purchase the full version whenever you like.

BREAKDOWN:
- Stay away from WSOs there is plenty of free information on the forum
- Read up on article marketing, pay-per-click and SEO
- Get MS or at least sign up for the free trial

Decide on how you want to make money online. That is the first step. Then, once you decide, put together a step by step plan that you will follow to achieve your desired goals. You can put that plan together by searching for relevant information or by purchasing a game plan from somebody else. Whichever you decide, make sure that your game plan includes list building. Many newcomers skip this and later kick themselves for not starting a list at the very beginning of their journey.

Offer something you can do with your time and talents on fiverr. They pay you $4 of every $5 you earn.. Thats right you earn the bux there.

Look through the adverts on the right had side of the site, it is people looking for someone to do something for them for $5. Offer to do it for them.

Hey it won't make you wealthy, but if you can try and do those which only takes 10 minutes to do, you could make $4 x 6 = $24 ph x 8 = $192 per day and if my maths is not too bad That will make you a healthy $5k plus for the month.

Don't get sucked into SEO (search engine optimization)
Many people (including myself ) have got sucked into SEO Addiction, because the concept of getting FREE traffic from the internet can seem so appealing.

But as a beginner there was things I had no clue about. Like having my site get to the first page and then being gone the next. It was enough to make anyone go mad.

PLUS Good SEO that 'sticks' to the search engines can take 6 months or so... And if you choos the wrong keywords then guess what? You've done all that work for nothing!

I mean you could always optimize and change things to get traffic to convert But not seeing an immideat reslut can be draining.

I've learned that Ad tracking first along with a test campaign with PPC can prove to be quite helpful before Doing seo since then.

Also test as many products as you can (if your trying affiliate marketing- which is what most people do first).

It took me a while before I found a product that would convert multiple sales daily. But like you, I have a 4 year old and had two jobs... Plus being new I used to try so hard to force a product to sell instead of listening to the market telling me that they didn't want it.

And Don't skip on the the product, market, and keyword research...

Choosing the wrong keywords, lack of research, and failing to do your due diligence can prove to be the a huge waste of time.

I just wanted to add that this title makes me picture you as an Umpa Lumpa.

Just by setting up that much you are already a step ahead of some marketers who never even get that far. If you just signed up for aweber you may want to cancel before the trial runs out. It really is great but if you can't afford the $19/month or whatever it is now you can just sign up for mailchimp.

Its a little more work to get everything set up nicely but once you get it going it does wonders. I actually switched from aweber to mailchimp after getting just 20k subscribers because it really is getting good.

If you're looking for fast cash, you can provide your services for people. (writing or design, I mean)

If you're financially stable and not in a desperate situation, you should consider going into studying the free information here on WF, and once you've grasped the basic ropes, get a few WSOs which you think will help you. (I will strongly recommend WSOs and not any other ClickBank product, especially if the WSO has rave reviews)

Out of the WSOs you bought, select on method/system and stick with it all the way. It is not necessary to buy anymore products but if your system requires another technique (e.g. traffic generation), you might want to consider a product or mentor to shorten your learning curve.

Also remember to do a basic business plan. Once you have a plan of actions set, commit yourself to take action on them. If you don't procrastinate, there is no reason why you shouldn't succeed! (Given that you're following a proven system)
