If you have a site for acne niche, will you build a list for it?

If yes, then what this list to promote? or what else will you do?

Hmm, yes if you build a list you'll go on long term business. The "acne niche" is a very good niche, and there are many many buyers looking for products to resolve their problem.

If you build a list, you'll see that you can sell products to them later, and you make them repeated buyers.

    Hello visimedia,

I think your going in the right direction with this niche. Creating a list around it will help you get on a more personal level with them. Which will probably help you convert them better. When you ask me these questions its a bit hard because I don't know what sub-niche your targeting,I believe this is a very broad niche.

But if I was you, what I would promote to my email list is CPA offers. These convert very well, and if you have a large buyer list, you can make ALOT of money with it promoting the right offer to them. Or also of course clickbank.com is always an option(I'm sure you already know what clickbank is). Also, the best option would be to create a report specifically for your niche. Instant paypal money! This way you can also achieve better conversion rates because you will be giving your subscribers exactly what they want/need.

What else would I do? As I mentioned above there is sub-niches in this niche. When you go to write more articles for your site, I would target more of those sub-niches, this way when you are ranking in the search engines, and your articles get indexed(make sure you do some research on SEO-Search Engine Optimization) you will have visitors coming from those sub-niches. This will also result in more traffic. Make sure you target keywords that are very easy to rank for(well, you can find plenty of info on SEO via this forum).

I would keep going on and spilling my heart and knowledge but I have to get on over to the family, we are having Christmas dinner! Yum

    Take care
    To your success
I wish you all of luck

    Merry Christmas!

    Yes, of course.

I certainly wouldn't try to monetise it without building a list: I'd expect to leave at least 85% of the potential income behind, that way, and not really build up an appreciating asset for my business, either.

I have had two successful sites in this niche. Both were monetized for adsense and one I flipped for several thousand dollars (around $3000 if I remember correctly).

I plan to convert the second site so that it becomes a lead generator because that niche can be quite lucrative and there are several products that can be promoted to a subscribers list.

Keep this in mind, people can be cruel so someone with acne may have been ridiculed by other individuals so they may also need products to build their confidence, overcoming shyness, dating advice, self defense advice,...etc

As a teenager in high school I had an acne problem my freshman year due to the headgear I wore as a wrestler. Believe me, I could have used the other products to help me in those areas.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

well not really, acne usually doesn't last for a long period so you need a refreshed customer base.

    Yep.

Another vote here for building a list with this niche. Once they leave your site, do you think they'll ever come back? A few may, but most of them won't so it makes good business sense to create a system in place where you can contact them. A system which involves getting their email address in exchange for them receiving something they consider of value.

Alexa makes a great point about the backend potential and building an appreciating asset i.e. a database of subscribers that you can contact, build a relationship with and sell to.

Tim's point about sub-niches is great too. When you suffer from acne during your teenage years it can feel like the worse thing ever. And so many other things in your life are affected because of it, most notably your self-esteem.

It really pays to understand your target market and the "pains" they go through because then and only then can your emails suggest and offer them "solutions".

With respect, the previous comment on this thread should be taken with a pinch of salt. Acne is rarely a short-lived problem. If untreated it's something that can "hang around" for quite a few months, even a few years. Best of all, from a marketing perspective, it's a desperate niche with sufferers that crave quick solutions.

    Garry.

You're on the right track with a list. Get a solid 10-14 day autoresponder together and you will probably do way better than trying to send them to an affiliate presell page with links to the product. I think your best bet with your autoresponder series will be a "i had acne" story, but you may want to test this.
