Two companies, Solve Media and NuCaptcha, are creating the ads, requiring users to type in an ad's slogan or sales pitch, or watch a video advertisement before entering a word or phrase. Solve Media's clients include Microsoft, Universal Studios and Toyota, while NuCaptcha has created advertisements for Activision and Disney.

      I got one of the Toyota ones and was slightly annoyed at being "advertised" to. If I remember it right... you have to answer a question with the answer being one of their car models.

      I can't tell you exactly why it annoyed me. It made me feel like I was back in school taking a test and had to give the "right" answer. It felt patronizing for some reason. Anyway... I personally didn't appreciate it.

        It annoys me too. Even worse than the ads before a video plays or ads in the movie theater. Having to take a test by answering a question from the ad pitch doesn't generate any goodwill from me. The problem is you are a captive audience.
