Just want to say thank you to EZA...

For finally cracking down on the quality of articles that they are accepting. It's about time they get rid of the junk and focus on accepting high quality and original content instead of the crap that they had been allowing to slip through the cracks.

I agree, now quality article contents matter the most. Ezine was doing great but search engine declare these kind of sites as content management site drop the importance. It really upto the seach engine what they do with other contents sites. Articlebase is doing well but not goarticle.....

"...Effective later this month, all links in the article body will include the rel=”nofollow” attribute..."
So what about the Bio box? You can still leave them there and they're not no follow. You might enjoy this thread. You'll enjoy this thread even more.

Many people are frustrated because they relied solely on EZA, which is silly. I hope they learn from this.

EZA is going to fall out, goarticles and articlebase will take over.
          In your opinion.

Article marketing as it has been taught in IM has been solid dead for over a year, the Google EZA delisting is the last coffin nail. You might be making some scrub change off of it but if thats your focus you are tripping on dimes on the way to dollars. The problem is that in IM volume and placement have been the focus when the only single area you need to focus on in a article and has not changed in 10 years....QUALITY. Put a quality article on your blog and it will dominate EZA each time. And I don't buy for one second EZA generates much traffic itself. No one goes to EZA to find something to read and EZA shows up on few aggregators.

Want proof? How many changes did CNN have to make ? Oh ya NONE. How about Somethingawful? None. I could go on and on listing examples, but the best angle is a strategy which posts high quality content to YOUR blog. Anyone teaching anything else is full of sh#t

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Quality is always king and your own web site is worth it's weight in gold.

Hmmm... if article marketing is dead then I wonder how Im still able to make sales since the only thing I do is article marketing.

I would say article marketing is still very much alive and kicking as I see it work with my very own projects each and every day.

IMHO, those who say it is dead are those who simply do not have the patience to stick with it, or are those who are not doing it correctly.

Article marketing is not dead as links coming from there count as backlinks. Article marketing is effective way of getting backlinks.....

You have to diversify yourself. EZA should be one of MANY article directories you use, and article marketing should be one of MANY backlinking methods you use.

As long as you have spread your links out you should be fine.

Sure, it takes a little longer for EZA to review now but spend the time waiting building more and more backlinks from the sites that have BENIFITED from the farmer update

Yeah, I think we can all learn a valuable lesson from what happened to EZA. While we should focus on constantly improving the articles we write for directories, we should also be doing the same for content that we put on our own sites.

SE's feed off of great content that provides value to our visitors, so that is what every webmaster should be striving for on their own sites. Displaying something of poor quality just to fill up white space is not going to help your site, rather it will probably hurt your site.
