What is the average conversion rate for affiliate products?

Hi...

I know that each product in each niche will be diferent, but is there an "average" that most experienced marketers aim/look for?

I have some products converting at 1 sale in 75 hops, but also have some that do 1 sale in 300 hops.

Also, is there a way to check the conversion rates of Clickbank products?

Thanks for any help.

Conversion rate depends on the specific keywords your potential buyers use to find your products or ads....

Any keywords with either " buy, order, courses, best deal, reviews" would definitely give you better conversions as compared to others...

These are the keywords that potential buyers use in their last stage of the buying cycle....and all ready to punch in the 16 digits on their Credit card.

The main problem here is to capture their emails .....so that even if they move on to other websites....at least you know you have capture details of one "potential" buyer.......

        Hi Kate,

        you asked a great question!

Conversion is probably the most important thing in Internet Marketing because it really shows how well somebody is doing.

Unfortunately there is no way you can find how well does a CB product convert. I know several super affiliates that have trying to get that piece of information from CB itself but with no luck.

But there are some ways you can get a pretty good estimate of how well does a product convert.

Are you familiar with the GRAVITY? It's a measure of how many affiliates have recently successfully promoted that particular product. It doesn't give you an exact number, but you can use it to rank products.

In general, if you consider two products that have similar price points, the one with a higher gravity will convert better.

And also, you should pick the one who pays you more if they have more or less the same gravity.

A friend of mine gave me this simple rule you can use when analyzing CB products:

        100 - 199 gravity - 1% conversion rate
        200 - 299 gravity - 1,5% CR
        300 - 399 gravity - 1,75% CR
        400 and more - 2% CR

This is the best estimate of conversion rate you can get.

Of course, it now depends on how well you're going to do your job as an affiliate. If you are extremely good you could get a 10% conversion rate!

But keep in mind, that you'll definitely won't get a 10% conversion rate if you promote a product that's below 100 gravity, ie has less than 1% CR.

You could, no doubt about it, but it will require much more effort from you. A lot of money and time to test and tweak your affiliate effort.

My recommendation is that you find a product with above 100 gravity and then create your pre-sell landing page.

Good luck and I hope you'll be successful!

        Take care,

        Davor Debrecin.
