How would YOU spend my advertising money?

I'm looking to generate leads for web-design services. My target market is small businesses without websites. I have an advertising budget of about $100/day for right now; I might increase it if I get a good ROI.

If you had $100/day to spend on advertising for web-design leads how would you spend it?

Some ideas:
1. Adwords PPC?
2. Email marketing?
3. Hire telemarketer?
4. Hire someone on oDesk?
5. Get business cards and run around town passing them out?
6. Join CPA network?
7. Hire Warriors to generate traffic?
8. Hire a craigslist posting service?

Or am I on the wrong track? If you had this budget, how would you spend the money and what results would you expect?

    Do this with a different hooker every day and you'll probably get your card dropped in sight of about 25% of the male population for your city.

    For web-design, I would invest in adwords. Imagine what your potential customers would search on google on use them.
    Also, I would hire a warrior which lets you spend more time doing the web-design admin

    This little tidbit right here will definitely narrow down your strategy. If these businesses currently don't have websites (including social network profiles), you could probably assume their time spent online is comparatively limited. So any marketing $$ you spend may be best allocated towards physical promo (i.e. the business card idea) out of the gate.

    But once you go online, would certainly recommend some light PPC to start.

    Sounds like great advice!

    I'm working with a new adwords campaign I just setup trying to get it going, I have my bid at $1 per click, but I don't seem to be getting many impressions. 13 so far. Maybe I need to raise my bid? I have about 100 keywords on my list.

    I will order business cards tomorrow. (FYI, nextdayflyers.com and gotprint.net have AWESOME prices!!!)

    I also posted to craigslist today, and will do that every 48hrs!

    I tried my hand at web-design once, targeting businesses without websites.

    I got the customers, but lacked the enthusiasm to keep it going!

    Although luck probably played a part in my small success, I can tell you what I found worked best:

    1. I payed to have flyers to be distributed to every small business within 20 miles (suprisingly cheap). The flyers promoted the fact that the web-design services would be local and could be handled more personally than my competitors.

    2. The winning idea: Believing I may have established some amount of 'brand image', I pre-designed a website for a few small businesses and then printed the design out on some glossy paper and showed the designs to each small businesses.

    Usually, they would be impressed with my initaitive and would offer some improvements they would like made, on the spot! I'd jot all this down and then secure the deal.

    Hope that may spark some ideas and generate some new business for you

    When I was advertising this service, I had great luck getting clients from Craigslist. You might check the offline marketing forum here also. I'm sure there are plenty of local businesses that could use your services, but just dropping a card isn't going to cut it.

    if i was going to use 100 a day to get traffic.
    there 3 traffic methods i would focus on.

    1)Solo ads to targeted email list
    2)Article marketing (have someone write the articles for you)
    3)video marketing

    i would focus on those three methods.
    i wouldn't join no cpa network, 100 day wouldn't
    be enough anyway.

      The most simple and free technique you could do is, design nicely several website template (css/html whatever) and insert your website link on the template footer for example.. Design by... or Powered by .... Then offer this free to warrior and several forum you engage with.

      There are also website that offer free download where you can upoad and allow people to download.

      It will create automatic backlink to your website and also exposure to your services.
