Got my first subscriber!

Ok, so just one isn't much, I know... but it's more than I had!

I just signed up for AWeber yesterday. I threw up a campaign and attached it to a squeeze page I had built a few weeks ago (Get the first five chapters of "42 Rules for Creating the Life You Deserve")

I put together a very small Adwords campaign and have thus far only had one click. But he signed up.

I'm working on some article marketing too, so hopefully that will bring in some good traffic over the next few weeks.

Any tips on getting more than just the one?

Thanks!

make it shorter so readers dont have to scroll down and add a video, I use just a headline a video underneath and the opt in box below the video

trafficswarm.com gets me about 5 of my opt ins per day

Most of my opt-ins come from Adwords, with about a third coming from organic traffic (natural rankings, articles etc.).

The quickest way to increase your opt-ins would be to increase the size of your Adwords campaign, then wait until you've had a least a 100 visitors to your squeeze page before you make any changes to it.

Once you've had at least 100 visitors you'll have a much better idea of your opt-in percentage which will then give you something to compare any future changes against. If you start changing the squeeze page too soon, then you won't have an accurate idea of what changes have really improved it & which haven't.

If you don't mind waiting a few weeks for more opt-ins, then article marketing will be a lot cheaper - see if you can write 20 to 30 articles and see what kind of traffic you end up with.

    Cheers

  • your background messed with my eyes, like one of those optical illusion things

also, I would put the freebie info above the fold (or at least a mention of it). If i knew I could get something free i might hang around and put up with the funky color, but on "landing" i couldn't see much benefit to stay
    my 2 cents

btw, congrats on the first sub

Congratulation. The first is always the most important. It means that you are on the right track.

Beside Adword, try other ways of promoting your products.

    Cheers to your success !

    Hi Scheda,

    Congrats on your first!

There are few effective ways to get subscribers to your list fast.

    1. Article Marketing - I personally use this method to get over 1 million visitors to my sites over 1 year.

    2. Ad Swaps - Swap ads with list owners in the same field as yours.

    3. Forum Marketing - Post regularly in a few of the most popular forums in your niche

    4. Blog Comment Posting - Once again, post regularly at popular blogs related to your niche
