Big Mails
Anyone remember Big Mails? Before the internet people would publish rags or advertisers and collect money by selling space ads on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets. Each of those ads was selling get rich information or space on yet another ad sheet.
You would get a thick envelope of these ad sheets in the mail by sending away for a "big mail".
Internet marketing reminds me of those offers. Everyone it seemed was selling space, information, or advise on how to offer space, information, or advise.
A few focused on the tools and sold graphic design for 1" space ads, printing, type setting and such. Most focused on "How to" money making info.
To quote the American Captain in Hunt for Red October: "All right, Ryan, we just unzipped our fly" You now know that I'm an old guy.
