So, I have created this software "VisualCron" which is an automation tool for Windows. It is not a consumer product but a product for IT professionals.

I am good at programming but have no idea how to market this tool the best way. Using only Adwords right now for some keywords.

I have found that if I have contact IT-specialists with blogs, and if they write a review, I get very positive results. But I have no idea how to find those blogs from the beginning.

Also, more back links would be great.

Any ideas or suggestion of company that can help me with this? Thanks!

    I think the best way is to submit it to software directories providing trial... There are hundreds of them...

      It sounds you have already 2 successful methods: Reviews on Blogs and Adwords.
      If that works good for you, I would try to do more of that. It should be easy to find more blogs of your special topic. You can do that by hand or use a software tool. More Backlinks will help you lowering Adwords costs. Try to start with long tail keywords, there you will have faster results, so you have faster savings.

    have affiliates willing to promote your product, that's even better.

    There are some major benefits about gathering some affiliates. The
    most obvious benefits would be: A) You do not need to pay a sum of
    money upfront. Depending on their amount of sales determines how
    much you and the affiliate get paid. B) You are able to target the specific
    niche. Lets say you owned a weightloss website and a bunch of people
    opt-in for your newsletter or whatever you have to offer if they sign up.
    You then can promote weightloss-related products to that list.

The key to automation software marketing is to teach the long process then show how your software speeds it up. Who is the top IT pro you know that can review and recommend it? What sites are already reaching your market? Write a guest post.

    Read up on SEO. Create a sales page and do research to see what a potential customer would Google for this software. Then rank your sales page at the top for that search term. This is the best way to get sales.
