Ite New Years Eve here and only 8 hours to go
Hi everyone,
Its New Years Eve here in Canberra, Australia, and only 8 hours to go til 2009. So when I return to this forum it will already be 1st January for me.
I am shutting the computer now for a few hours rest and I wanted to wish you all a very very Happy New Year and a prosperous and great 2009.
With the economy pushing hard against the discussions in here at this time we might just forget it for a few hours and come back with new ideas and new ways of facing whatever is to come.
We can't help what the world does or the predicaments of others but we can take heart in the newness of the coming year and the fresh approach we seem to acquire at this time. While most of you are probably in freezing conditions and will be snug in front of fires we are enjoying a perfect summer's day. That means there will be crowds aplenty around the vantage points and at open air parties in every city.
There are some $5 million dollars worth of fireworks to be let off over Sydney harbor tonight, 9 pm and midnight, and it is a great television spectacle. With fireworks going off around the globe the money spent on them is mind boggling. So well might we ask where is the recession?
That's it from me for a few hours.
