I am SO Excited! Clickbank Approval Nightmare!

Well, I finally got my product approved. It was so funny because I had read everything about the approval process and the new changes atleast 10 times. I felt sure that I was fine with my product. I had covered all the bases. 3 days latter I was denied.

Okay, I can't say that... Changed several thing on my page that I really thought where fine. Nope Still Denied! UGH!

What's your proof?
Here's my proof?

Finally Approved. Geeze.

I was not expecting it to be so scary. I really had my doubts that I would ever get through it. I was already thinking I would have to sell my product somewhere else.

Basicly, I just wanted to share that it can be hard to get approved at this time.

Clickbank is not joking around with the new guidelines at least not with new products. I am just wondering what is going to happen come August 31st when all exsisting products have to meet the new guidelines aswell.

I think a lot of people might be surprised at what they are going to have to change in order to comply. Like I said I thought I was fine the way I was and I had to jump thru some hoops.

Yes it is a good thing. It is going to be a great thing if they keep it up. The quality of products on clickbank is sure to increase.

Also I saw people talking in other threads about how vendors will just change their page after it is approved. Well from what I understand Clickbank is going to be checking in on a regular basis. So I don't think that will be happening too much.

The end of this month is going to be really interesting over at clickbank.

Any specific examples on things that required alteration? Headlines, testimonials, etc? Maybe some actual verbiage.... just out of curiosity.

Most of the new changes have to do with the "make money" niche. Is your product in that niche?

No my product is not in the IM niche it is really more in the pet business niche, if that is a niche?

I had to show proof of my testomonials meaning submit the actual letters.

I had to reword my sales pitch. I don't remeber everything that I changed as far as wording but I couldn't put a value on my freebies so they just had to be my "free gifts to you". I couldn't say my product was worth such and such but you would get it for this. I had to say my product "could be" worth. Does that make sense?

You can't say for a limited time. So I had to take that away.

Anywhere that there is a buy now button you have to have a price which I did but I had a buy now button at the top and didn't have a price there. my bad So I had to fix that.

Oh you can say if you order now but you can't say if you order today. Silly stuff like this.

Really it was just a headache for me to try and figure out what they wanted me to change at first. There was a lot of back and fourth with them.

      Anyways, hope this helps someone.

Could you explain the procedure here? Did you have to send them a hard copy of all your signed testimonials?

I am still shocked that I won't be able to use my older testimonials anymore. There's no way to fix that either (email addresses may have changed, lack of time or motivation to rewrite and sign a testimonial on a piece of paper and forward it by snail-mail, etc ...)

@ncmedia - I'm sure they're just doing this to bide their time until the 'sitewide compliance' requirement sometime in August. It's sort of good that they're doing all this although I doubt it will have any real effect on the quality of the products sold through cb.
