Do you sell your services on the WSO forum?

Are you allowed to list a service in both the warrior for hire section and the WSO section?

Has anyone got one in both?
Do you find a difference in customers?
Do you get more traffic from one to the other?

I always see the WSO forum has LOADS of people viewing it whereas the warrior for hire section has much fewer but perhaps they are more targeted?

Also are there so many WSO's listed that a service would very quickly get swamped there and be off the first 3 pages very fast?

Would really appreciate some opinions

Thanks in advance

I can give you my input only as a buyer because I don't sell services around here.

For services (like writing, graphics and other similar outsourced tasks) I always go to the Warriors for Hire section, never to the WSO. WSO is full of idiotic make-money-overnight sales letters that I am not interested in.

The WSO section is full of shiny-button-seekers. => big number of viewers
The Hire section has more targeted visitors because:

The WFH section is full of real service providers. I filter the threads depending what I need; I also look at the time when the thread has been started; usually, I read a few feedbacks (re: reliability, speed, quality). If there are samples (in the thread or on the provider's own web site), I'll definitely take a look at them.

I don't sell any services here, and haven't done for a couple of years (and did so only in a sig-file when I used to), so I can speak only as a customer.

When I want to buy/outsource services (and people as technophobic and incompetent as I am need that often), I'll always look in "Warriors For Hire", where it seems to me the real service-providers live, not in "WSO's".

couldnt agree more and completely true

worst of all i see more and more sales pages on the WFH section looking more like the WSO offers

ALL I CARE ABOUT IS WHAT YOU ARE OFFERING AND HOW MUCH ITS GOING TO COST.

i hate having to scroll past loads of rubbish just to find out what these people are selling

I've listed in both. However, if you're going to have two listings for the same service, you'd have to offer a better price in the WSO section. For this reason, it's probably not a good idea to offer the exact same service in the two sections at the same time.

As you said, with a WSO, your offer can quickly drop to the lower pages. If you're offering a very good deal for your service, or it's something unique you could still do well. Yet the risk of offering extremely low prices as a special offer is that your customers may not want to pay higher prices later.

Overall, a WSO is good to make some quick sales, but only if your offer is really special. In the long run it can effective to advertise in the Warriors For Hire section and bump it every so often -the fee to list there is also lower. As with everything else in marketing, however, there are no hard and fast rules and your results will depend on lots of factors!

If you're introducing a new service, posting a WSO is a great way to get word out quickly. Just be sure to limit it or you can get swamped very fast if your offer is good.

Use the testimonials you get from the WSO on your Warrior for Hire ad, which you should post when the WSO ends. And make sure to update your WSO with a link to your Warrior for Hire thread.

You can post in both spots at the same time, depending on what you offer. For example, you could post a ghostwriting ad in the Warrior for Hire with multiple services, but your WSO ad might only be for article writing. At the end of the WSO ad, again, put your link to the Warrior for Hire ad for those looking for other types of writing.

Thanks for all your feedback. I already have 2 services listed in the WFH section so not sure what to do. I was un aware you have to lower the price for WSO section even if it is the same service. I may consider offering part of the service or writing an eBook or video course related to the service and perhaps use it as an upsell offering the service.

Some thoughts to ponder over LOL.

Thanks for all the advice though is great to get buyers POV
