Right now, Im hosting with bluehost and hostgator, and blogging with twitter, blogger, and wordpress. I am also new to the warriors forum as I just found out about it days ago. This is my first post and Im currently stuck in which direction I should go as to gain experience. currently tring to pay of some $2000 or more school debt. I would appreciate anyones insight and advice they give to help me out and get started so I can find my niche.

Hi, Welcome to Warrior forum. It seems you have learnt quite a lot during last four months.

There are many ways to make money in Internet marketing. However I would suggest two:

    1. Affiliate Marketing
    2. Your own product

These two should get you good amount of money which you are looking for. Of course it will take some time but if you follow the simple basics and focus only on these, you should get there soon.

Welcome aboard! I have all the same responses like Giani. Create your own product and start selling it. Or, start affiliating.

Affiliating would be easier for now - i think. Thanks.

As you seem very intellectual and analytical As I assessed by your career choice As they architectural designer I would highly recommend getting into the software development game.

I would not Recommend getting caught up in how to write code Yourself Rather, I would focus on building a team that could support new and upcoming technologies.

Welcome. As a student of architecture, I'm sure your schedule is somewhat demanding, so given your goal and time constraints to work on IM, I would recommend doing affiliate marketing via a niche blog (focuses on a central theme like weight loss, dating, gardening, or whatever and usually contains both product reviews and related info in the form of articles.

First, niche blogs are easy to manage and allow you to work around your own schedule. Second, once you get everything up and running, the income becomes residual. Third, you can generate multiple income streams from the same blog. Forth, they enable you to make money writing about things you already have an interest in (niche you choose should be something profitable and something you like). They are also great for the holiday season -- where there is a ton of money to be made.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Hi Chris, thanks for posting your questions as I too am in a similar position, and read with interest the suggestions here.
Joey - You mention begining with a niche blog and generating income via affiliate marketing. Could I ask for any good methods to research profitable popular niches? I am thinking there must be certain subjects better than others?

    Thanks Louise

Hey, Louise. Some niches are definitely more popular/profitable than others. When finding a niche, it should be both profitable and something you enjoy so you stick with it--without it seemingly like work. Gosh, there are some many different ways. There's a saying that goes, "Where's there's a magazine, there's a niche." Companies invest a ton of money into research before they decide to launch a magazine because they want to make sure it will sell. They also test the ads they put in the magazines so that they most target the audience their magazine is geared towards.

I went to Amazon.com and look for magazines or Kindle downloads for magazines (used this since I couldn't find regular magazines - probably overlooked it, it's late) and saw popular titles dealing with health/fitness, food/cooking, money, electronics/computers...I then went to a site called
things.com (site where people get motivation to accomplish their goals) and clicked on "zeitgeist" and then "goals." Here you will find a list of things people want to accomplish.

It has a most popular daily listing as well as the most overall popular goals people are looking to accomplish. Here are some examples: lose weight, learn Spanish, learn French, fall in love (dating niche), get a tattoo, get a job (these people are looking to make money), learn guitar, learn to cook,...The biggest 3 niches are weight loss, dating, and making money. Use the Google keyword tool to see how much traffic the niche keywords get (look at monthly global searches, use as a guideline) and see how many associated keywords come up...lots. Then, think of all the products there are out there in these niches...tons

I only took a few minutes to do this. Niches are in no way limited to just what you see here. That would take more time than I care to spend on this. I just wanted to give you a point of reference. I hope this helps some.

      Good luck,
      Joey

    Hey Chris,
wow you have learned and done a lot in 4 months... well done

If you are wanting experience, I agree with most here, affiliate marketing would be a great way to get going and learn as you build.

But if paying off the $2000 is an issue (needing it to be reduced or gone quickly - then affiliate marketing could be a bit slow to start making inroads), so depending on a number of factors which only you can answer, you may look into setting up a simple monthly membership.

Again, it all depends on how much time and money you have to get this set up, or how much you could learn to get a simple one set up yourself, and which skills you have to base your membership around, you could also link some affiliate products as back end sales.

    I hope that helps

All the best with it and great job already Chris!

Congratulations Chris on your first post, hope it's the first of many. I would suggest you put all that education you've invested in to use now. How? By starting a architectural design niche.

For example I did a quick search on Google Keywords and there's over 300,000 searches a month for the word architectural design. And over 100,00 more for words related to it. There's a huge market for people in- the-know.

Choose a specific niche that serves the Architectural Design market.

Click Here to see the 30 + niches Google is already telling you people are already interested concerning - Architectural Design. Choose the niche that interest you the most.

    Next ...,

    - Start a blog on specific topic dealing with architectural design.
    - Write an Ebook on a specific subject dealing with architectural design.
    - Make a video on specific topic dealing with architectural design.
    - Offer a service on specific topic dealing with architectural design.
    - Start a newsletter on specific topic dealing with architectural design.
    - Be an online architectural design consultant.

As you can see by this simple example (that took me only 3 minutes to do) You're only limited by your imagination. Imagine what you could do if you spent the next 30, 60 or 90 days putting together a plan.

You have the knowledge, now use your creativity.

Without knowing more specifics about your likes, goals and starting capital it's hard to give you more specifics, but hopefully this helps spark your imagination and helps point you in the right direction ... Good luck.

I guess it depends on what you feel is best for you. I never had any success at affiliate or network marketing. Once I started writing articles for Adsense income, I made, and am continuing to make, thousands of dollars. Try writing, too. You could have your school debt paid off fairly shortly if it works for you.

    Hi Chris,
Congratulations, I am not sure how you found the time to combine studies and all you did in 4 months. The most important thing to do is find a niche you are interested in, preferably one with some demand, and use affiliate monetization method to start with.
