So I have been doing the IM thing for a little while now but I dont have the cash really to get the things I need like traffic back linking etc. I was wondering if there is any type of a work from home program that actually works and isnt fake.. anybody find anything like that or is it a true myth? I just want to find something so I can invest into my IM sites.. Thanks in advance..

  • Well, working from home kind of job , there is ! Like freelance job and micro job also have , such as elance.com , microworker.com and any other else.

Go Google and search freelance job something on this keyword. =)
You might be amazed on the stuff ,
but to be long term, as my mentor said to me, you need to build a long term business too. Build a website on some niches , master the skill of driving traffic and learn the process. =)

First, you don't need to pay for traffic. There are free tactics you can use. Secondly, there are legitimate ways to make money online, but a lot of those "work at home" sites are scams. One of the most popular and profitable ways to make money online is by using something known as a niche blog (on your own domain). It's a method based around legitimate business principles that's been around for more than a decade.

A niche blog is a blog that focuses on a particular theme like dating, weight loss, learn Spanish, electronics, video games, golf...and usually contains both product reviews and related content. Niche blogs allow you to generate residual income "as you sleep," to build multiple streams of cash from the same blog, and allow you to work around your own schedule -- all while writing about things that interests you. They are also great way to make the most of the holiday season and traffic.

    Good luck,
    Joey

If it's a work from home job you are looking for you could use your skills on sites like freelancer.com or fiverr.com (depending on your level of skill)

Alternatively, if it's an actual job you need (i.e. get paid by the hour for the work you do) I can't recommend any of them other than the one I have myself done, you could be a Google Internet Assessor. Search on Google for Lionbridge Internet Assessor. There is an exam you must complete to test your skills, knowledge and ability to follow instruction. Pay is something around £10 (GBP) per hour.

That seems like a good resource thanks for the tip. The initial application was more like going for a real job. I'm curious to see how selective they are. (would they prefer if I had a Phd? )

    Hi Stewroids,

Working from home is really a great opportunity and of course it isn't a myth since I also doing it.

Right now, I am still earning 3 Figures monthly but that's okay because that 3 figures has a good currency in my country - Philippines.

Anyway, if you are looking for a work from home jobs, you can give a try at 3Quid.co.uk

It is a Micro Freelance Job Marketplace that you can post your Job Offers to various companies and business owners. The good thing about it is they have full of UK Based clients that might buy your Gigs. And of course you will earn money by that.

If you have some more questions related to work from home jobs, I can help you with that. You can find them at Blog.3Quid.co.uk

Oh by the way, the marketplace also has a blog who are also sharing ways how to earn money from home using their website. Isn't it cool, right?

Thanks and I hope it helps you...

Hey Felix! I take it you can put offers on that site even if you don't actually live in the UK. How do you get paid? Are there problems with payment for people overseas. I can see that there could be issues with exchange rates as it may not be worthwhile depending on what the exch rates are in a particular country.

Also what do you mean by "the marketplace"?

A shame that internet assessor gig isn't available in Australia atm. I would be very interested in something like that.

I don't see much difference between 3Quid and fiverr. For those outside the US, 3Quid.co.uk is no problem because the forex rates will have to be factored in, just like they are for fiverr.

Haha it is a real job, it just happens to be online, so yep, treat it as such, read all the documentation they send you, do the practicals and keep your fingers crossed.

Of course, as with most jobs, they pay monthly in arrears, but it does go straight to your bank account.

Hi everyone, I am new to the warrior forum. Its looks a great place for looking for information. I would first like to say if you are looking for people to do some of the work for you then outsource to India for a cheap rate say $300 per month. Not only are these people hard working, they are educated and they will do all the IM marketing which you require. This will free up more of your time working on your business. Does that make sense? Other than that you can target people on Elance which I have used a number of times but this is more of an expensive route.

    Kevin,

I own a site that caters to moms who want to work from home. There are legitimate opportunities out there, such as online teaching and tutoring, freelance writing, graphic design, call center work and transcription work. There are even a number of jobs in the medical industry, as well as government positions and major corporations that offer telecommuting positions. Depending upon your particular skill set, you can earn a decent income from home.

My advice to you is to first learn how to filter scams from legitimate opportunities while searching for work. Jobs that require you to pay for work are generally scams (with the exception of one call center operation that requires employees to pay for their own training). I'm not talking about small business investments here, but actual employee/employer relationships. If they ask you to pay...run! Also, beware of outrageous claims of making thousands per week in commission. You'll find that such ads are very common when searching for work at home jobs. A lot of scam artists link these ads to flashy websites with a lot of testimonials from regular people with no previous experience or education who are now making six figures or more per year. Don't believe the hype. In fact, before you invest your time with ANY company, be sure to diligently research who's behind the company and look for feedback on third-party forums. Checking with the BBB is also a good idea.

When you encounter scams, do your part to help clear the landscape for others by reporting unsavory types to the Internet Crime Complaint Center and the Federal Trade Commission. If you discover them on CraigsList, take a moment to flag those ads and alert other job boards when you run across suspicious ads, as well. We all have to play our part in alerting the masses when we can.

Put your favorite job search sites on RSS and also set a few Google alerts for the type of work you're looking for. Also, if you have web skills (which everyone here does to some degree), be sure to offer those to people you know. Especially offer them to business owners that you regularly patronize. You'd be surprised how many businesses are willing to pay for the knowledge and information that you have just in the area of IM alone.

I used to post daily work at home job leads on my site, but simply don't have the time to do so anymore. Still, you'll find some good articles there, as well as mention of several employers who are noted for hiring people to work from home. For a more comprehensive list of such employers, however, check these sites out (they're not mine and I have no affiliation with them):

    2WorkatHome

    Work at Home Career Kit

WAHM Forums (Don't let sites targeting moms fool you, work at home jobs are not JUST for women/moms)

    Mashable Jobs

CareerOneStop (features occasional govt work at home jobs)

    Telework.gov (more government jobs)

Work at Home Money (Be sure to sign up for the free ebook from fellow-warrior LilBlackDress).

Of course, also check the classifieds and job boards like Monster, SimplyHired and check this Mashable list of 100+ Places to Find Jobs.

You may also be interested in information offered by our federal gov on telework positions and can read more here:

As technology advances, employers are discovering that allowing employees to work at home makes serious financial sense. I don't know what your particular skills are, but work at home jobs run the gamut and if you are diligent in your search, I'm sure you can find one that suits you.

Hope this information is useful and all the best to you!

You've been given some great resources. There is plenty to do online outside of Internet Marketing itself if you're looking to get some income while you get started in your IM journey. In addition to doing some affiliate marketing, I assist Internet Marketers (which has also given me tons of 'free' knowledge and experience). IMers generally need someone to help manage their sites/freelancers/projects; perform customer service; assist with product development once they have a product in mind; manage social networks; and plenty of other things.

Finding some IMers who need help will let you, simultaneously, make money while learning plenty more about the biz =)

There is a section here on the Warrior Forum where you can post services you're willing to offer.

    Good luck,
    ~k

If you have been doing this for any significant amount of time, one of two things MUST be true.

    1. You are good at something that is useful in internet marketing, and people will pay you for it. Put up an ad in Warriors For Hire.

    2. You are a complete loser and you are never going to be any good at this. So stop it already, and go get a real job.

I mean, honestly, if you've been "doing the IM thing" and you're not good at any of it? Dude. Just... dude.

    Hi,

I am making $500/month from home.

I use Odesk.com it is a real site where you can promote your skills and get desired job.

What you need? just focus on your skills of "Backlinking"and apply for a desired job, there are too many jobs of SEO and Back-linking everyday and Night. So you get best response from employers of odesk.

But this all takes you patience. I got jobs after 3 months of continue struggling.

Try it! Hope its helpful for you.

    Best Regards,

I dont have the cash really to get the things I need
Rearrange your thinking a bit. I see a lot of posts here from people who say they can't get started because they can't afford to hire things done.

When I was starting out it never occurred to me to hire people to do things for me. I learned keyword and niche research from reading everything about it I could find online and coming up with my own strategy from that info.

I learned to build a website - lots of backtracking a little cussing but got it done and that first site still makes money every month after all these years.

I learned to find backlinks and wrote my own content and all I had to pay for was a couple of $10 domains and a cheap Hostgator account. Now I have reseller accounts and a lot of domains and if I hire an outsourcer - I know what I can expect from them because I know how to do the work myself.

      Dig in and do it.

You would do far better with less risk to offer services in the Warriors for Hire section. Figure out what your skills are and sell them.

Many products labeled "Work from Home", like most of the surveys, data entry programs, etc. are pure scams.
