Hi Warriors

I own a fiverr like site, Bargain Gigs. I want to promote every gig that is submitted to our site.

Bargain Gigs is hosted on wordpress, so on page seo is achieved by seo plugin

Should i promote on Twitter? facebook?

Let me know your ideas, we need buyer traffic for the gigs

Thanks in advance.

Wow that's a really nice looking site.

My suggestion? Give people a DISCOUNT if they promote a gig they want for you - if they tweet it, facebook it, whatever, just knock a dollar of the price and suck up the loss. You can always withdraw this later if it proves unaffordable (or just raise prices)

The great Envato (AudioJungle, VideoHive, FlashDen) started life by targettgin designers and effectively "paying them" to list their work in the marketplace - you've got the gigs listed which is great, leverage your buyers to get them doing the work for you.

Yeah. For site like yours as I have learned the best way to promote is social marketing. So yell at your twitter followers and facebook fans. That's your best choice. Good luck and site is nice.

There are auto tweeting and auto facebook plugins (can't remember the names, but if you do a quick search you'll find them). Once these plugins are set up, they will auto tweet/post to facebook every time there is a new post. All you'll need to do is father facebook fans/twitter followers which can be achieved through contests, tweet attacks, etc.

I think your real challenge is going to be getting people to put their gig on yet another fiverr clone. In my personal experience 90% of my sales are from fiverr and the other 10% come from all of the other clones I have posted the same gigs on (about 10 clones). If you can get the gigs posted then the traffic will come.

If you don't mind me asking, is your monetization strategy strictly from promoted gigs? Are you going to be selling banner ads, etc?

You should advertise your website in every place where your future customers might be able to find it.

First, you got an edge of being different.

The best way is to spend $$ on Google ads, it been the most rewarding but as well the most painful one (conversation rate is low but you are making sales).

    • Forget about Fiverr. Forget about Fiverr clones.

Let's try a little thought experiment.

Let's say you invent a website that hands out free money. People are skeptical at first, as who wouldn't be, but soon money starts flowing into their PayPal accounts.

They're excited. They tell other people. The media get wind of this and can't resist the "too good to be true" angle. Free money? Where do I sign up? What mysterious philanthropic billionaire is behind this?

The site becomes so bombarded with visits it has to upgrade its servers and get a bigger pipe to the Internet. It hires like crazy. Within a year, the free money site is in the top 100 sites according to Alexa and is threatening to dislodge the big boys.

Now. How much work do you think you'd have to go to to promote this site? That's right: Zero. How much money would you have to spend? A LOT. Possibly as much as a billion dollars.

Think of promotion as a continuum, a line with "work" at one end and "money" at the other. Your little Fiverr clone site is on that line, at the "work" end. I'm guessing you, like so many before you, don't have much capital. How many 12-14 hour days are you willing to spend trying to promote it?

First of all promote your site to various site and forum as much as you can. Do adword campaign, buy some media ad etc.

In second stage, play a little monopoly by you own. How? Just hire 20 freelancer in cheap rate from any freelance market place. Offer your gigs in very cheap rate. Then someone must be check out your gigs. After getting customer complete this by your hired freelancer, deliver that service quickly and must be take care of quality. These all primary buyer will be your regular buyer.

Lastly, control quality and discipline strictly. Never compromise with spam, bugs and similar like this. Make faster your payment processor and always offer some giveaways.

@ socialmediaowls You are doing great, I am using twitter, need to do more of it
@ onegoodman Google adwords would be expensive, What will be the minimum budget?
