Where Is The Best Place For Analytics Code

INTERNET MARKETING

Where is the past place to paste the google analytics code in a wordpress blog. I have been putting it after the text in my pages or posts. Is this the right place.

I have been getting some funky pages showing up in my analytics stats screen that don't belong, but I just found the plugin for google analytics and installed it, so maybe that will fix the problem.

You must place it just before the </body> tag.

You've answered yourself... get the plugin. Also, if you want
to manually install it... the best place would be to put it in
your footer.

You'll have to manually edit the code to insert the code.

Or, if you don't want to monkey around with editing the footer.php file (although it's very easy!), just drop it into a text widget in your sidebar.

paste it ONLY at the bottom of the page..... sometimes if Google is slow... your main content may not load... and Analytics code is rather "heavy"
