Hey all-

I'm thinking of changing my blog sites over to a couple of squeeze pages selling a singular product each. I have found that the times I have been most tempted to buy something from an affiliate is when visitng one of those sites.

Just wondering if you guys have any advice on promoting those types of sites. Is it the same tactics as promoting a blog?

Yes, I always advise to create the squeeze page first, my mentors said that and I've found it to work best.

I get traffic directly to the squeeze page and then after I have that going, I create blogs connected to the same domain.

So if you already have sites, just create another page for the squeeze page and send traffic to it directly.

Have your first 3-4 emails set up in your autoresponder before promoting too much, though.

      Squeeze pages don't sell products.

      Sales pages sell products.

A "squeeze page" is a page with a prominently incentivized (usually in text form, but they can be video, or even audio) opt-in, and no other content. They're pages designed specifically and exclusively to "squeeze" people's email addresses out of them.

Alexa makes an excellent point, as always. Squeeze pages are a method to get people to raise their hand and say "I am interested," a little bit anyway. It is then up to your incentive, your emails and hopefully your initial redirect page to engage the customers at a time when they are ready to buy what you are offering.

Simple to say, tough to do, even tougher to do it right. But that is why we are all here, right?

      Ok, cool.

Is there a good resource to help me set up a solid sales page? Any free templates you guys reccommend?

Basically, I want to move away from usig my sites as blogs and make them into straight up sales pages with a single product.

nice advice once again from Alexa, damn she's good....

if your going to use a squeeze page you cant really use it to sell products, it is purely for building your list, so you can promote in future, as mentioned.

Not sure if this will help you out, but if you want ideas for sales pages why not visit some offers on clickbank, they all have sales pages you can view to give you some ideas. Most products on clickbank tend to convert which means the sales pages convert. so they must be good.

The sqeeze page is your best bet. You will be able to market to the clients that you add to your list for years to come. Nothing better than that!

Yea you don't want to link to any other pages on a squeeze page. Your visitors should only have one option when they land there - either they opt in or leave the page. You could set up a one time offer on your thank you page after they opt in or you could set up an email in your autoresponder and put an offer there. Also be sure to have an opt in form above the fold on your separate sales page.

    Best of luck!

So do you use the squeeze page to email the product directly to people? They fill out the form and the autoresponder automatically responds with the product email?

In case you guys havent noticed, I am pretty new to all of this. :-P

Squeeze pages don't sell products but they do start a relationship with your target audience. Most people don't buy something right off the back so getting them on your list gives you a chance to gain their trust by offering value and ultimately sell to them over and over.

You cannot come off as some scammy marketer trying to sell from the get go. I have so many abandoned email addresses filled with marketers who immediately tried to sell to me. I know this might be a bit different but look at it when you approach a female. (This is for the guys)

Yes we know there are one night stand females out there but most females you have to gain their trust by taking them out on dates, communicating and living up to the expectation they had of you when you said your opening line.

I have heard that females know if they want to sleep with you in the first 15 seconds. I imagine that potential customers know if they want the product when reading the sales copy. What happens is they need to you the salesman to prove your value. Just like a man has to wine and dine a female we have to win over our list.

Jonathan Budd won me over through his 7 day course and got me to give him over $500 bucks. Win your list over by providing a immense amount of value and you will score.
