What should I ask my readers to do?

I have a success with women blog.

A few months ago I started asking my readers to "Subscribe to the email list and receive your free ebook" at the end of every post.

Of course my sign up rate tripled that month. Because I asked them.

Now I saw another popular blog where the author asks "If you liked this article, please share it" beside his social media buttons.

I could also ask to buy a product, but I don't have one yet. Or I could ask to check out my coaching options.

I'm wondering what is best for the long term blog growth. To ask for subscribers or ask them to spread the word for viral growth?

Why not do both? It's great having other people like your content and recommend it to others. This is called leverage. It's how Google got so big. Use other people's word of mouth and your content rides along piggyback and reaches a much wider audience.

Both are good, but I would think a list of targetted prospects would be the most value to your business..

Looks good to me. Isn't that pretty standard these days? I see stuff like this all over.
