Hello - New Member - Books etc

Hi folks,

I've been reading this great site for several hours and decided to join.

I'm looking into affiliate marketing for extra income, as I'm sure everyone on this site is.

A bit about how I got here:
About a year and a half ago I started my own blog at ManOfLaBook dot com - I write about books, my thoughts, bookish posts etc.

I several hundred followers and several thousands on Twitter most of which are "bookish" folks.

I tried to monetize my blog through affiliate ads and selling the books which I review, after a year basically the blog pays for itself which was my goal (I also get tons of free books, while that was not the main goal it is a nice benefit).

Looking more and more into affiliate programs I discovered several things but the main point is that just putting "something" up to generate income is probably not a good idea and won't work.

I do have a captive audience with my book blog as well as good ranking with Google. As of now I lack direction, before diving in to anything I wanted at least to do some research, focus in on a few products (self publishing maybe?) which my already captive audience is interested in.

Any help, suggestions, direction would be greatly appreciated.
