3 Months But I Doubled My Investment
Just noticed tonight that I made an affiliate sale last Friday. I'm not sure, but this may be my first affiliate sale in many moons that wasn't thru PPC.
Not a big sale, but my only monetary investment was ten bucks or so for the domain name. The sale earned about twenty dollars, so that covered the domain name registration and nets me about ten dollars. (The content is all original content that I wrote myself, so, while that cost time, it didn't cost money. It also wasn't too difficult to write the content, since it's basically writing about something most of us do anyway!)
I'm thinking that's not bad, since I've pretty much left the site alone since creating it. It's a one-page site. I did some social bookmarking with it initially, and I have a Squidoo lens that links to it. But, other than that, I really haven't done much with it at all.
So, the sale kind of came out of the blue.
Maybe it helps that the site is now (don't know when it happened) on page one of Google for one of the long-tail search keywords...
Now, if I could just duplicate that, and more often. ;-)
