What's the go with the bio box?

I've got a few articles on EZA - nothing dazzling, but they are all my own work,so I'm kinda proud of them. They've been written to send traffic to my niche product - DUH!
I just went searching to see how many of my articles have been re-distributed and they certainly are getting around.
Most sites include the bio box complete with my link - which I would have thought was a requirement of using the articles.
But there are quite a few sites taking using my articles and my name and not including the bio box - therefore I'm not getting any traffic. I know I should have put links in the article, but these were written before I knew that I could/should haha.
What's the go?
Is there any 'requirement' that the bio box comes with the article?
