TA won't launch and when I visited the site to submit a ticket, a page loads that says "account suspended".

Is this happening to everyone?

  • Yep, all my instances shut down an hour or so ago. Boy am I glad I saved my tasks before starting.. lol that would have sucked!

I'm sure Jay already knows about it, but I sent him a message on FB when it happened just to be sure.

I'll post in here whenever I hear back from him, I dunno what time it is over in Phillipines right now so it may be awhile, could have decided to switch hosting, who knows..

This has only happened once before, and it was hosting-related issues that time. Although it wasn't suspended that time, the server just shut down over xmas eve & the tech department wasnt open to fix it.
  • UPDATE: I heard back from Jay.

Twitter contacted their hosting & had them taken down.

Jay said apparently they dont have a problem with TA PRO, their problem is with TAAC.

So I asked what this means, and he said they will most likely have to stop selling the account creator. So I'm glad I already have it, LOL!

PRO will still be sold as usual though.

As for WHEN the site will be back online, I dont know yet.

But I'll post back with any updates whenever I get them.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • I really depend on tweetattacks. It is a huge deal in my traffic generation.
  • lol no need to tell me about it, I'm right there with ya man.. I had like 14 instances running when it happened & they all stopped working.

But yea, he is aware of the problem & is working to get it back online ASAP. I'll post back whenever I get any new updates.
  • Last time he had it back up in a few days and it was holidays. I really likethe service they have very top notch. I have regretted many purchases in IM but Tweetattacks is probably one of best investments ever made.
  • I agree, this was the first tool I ever bought for IM. And that was over 2 years ago.

& yeah, xmas eve of last year the servers went down & their hosting's technical support wasnt open due to the holidays. Thats why it took so long to get back online that time.. But I dunno how long this will take, all I can say is just be patient & have faith. lol

As you already know, this is the 2nd time they have EVER gone down.

Anyway, the wife & I are off to have a fire, lol gnite everyone!
  • Thanks for keeping us updated Rob, I really appreciate it!

    • I'm curious about TA. Isn't TA something that runs on your own machine?
How does it need their servers?
  • It verifies your license by communicating with TA's servers. So if their server goes down, unfortunately, the software goes down.

They implemented a backup database last time it went down, but with the entire hosting being suspended, it couldnt run your license against the backup database.

    & no problem K

    UPDATE:

Looks like they got their hosting back, but its not fully functional yet (the site)

However YOU SHOULD be able to open & use the software again now.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • I made the mistake of thinking it was a problem on my side and uninstalling it to re-install and now I can't even get access to the download.
  • This is the email I just got from Jay regarding TA

    • Guru, we spoke earlier this month on Skype and I was going to purchase Tweet Attacks from you and I've been trying to purchase it for the past couple days their server has been down and now I am crushed to hear the news that we can't purchase it anymore. I was so excited to get it and it was going to be such a huge part of my marketing projects.

Could you contact me on Skype sometime soon man?

I just sent you a request on Skype so you'll know it's me.

      Thank you!

  • lol thinktwice, if anyone sells their license they'd be a fool.

If I were to sell mine, it would cost a couple thousand dollars.

Sorry guys, but we had a good run.. It just sucks that a lot of people didn't get a chance to buy before it was too late.
    • [2] replies
    • I'm so glad I bought it a couple weeks ago! It's really driving traffic to my website.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [1] reply
    • Well, a lot of people did not use their license much or don't need it anymore. It's not because YOU know your stuff that everybody else does.

Also, the problems in such cases is that it will have produce a great demand for cracked copies. I don't think anybody want this, and that is why I'm looking to buy legit licenses.
      • [1] reply
  • Yeah, I spoke with Jay last night before I went to bed & unfortunately, this is permanent.

Even though he doesnt feel the AC breaks their TOS (and to be honest, neither do I), he has to look out for himself and his family.

If its being used to spam or break the TOS, then its the person using it for that purpose. Not the tool..

But oh well.. Its been an awesome journey & I've met a ton of amazing people during my time as a TA reseller

Jay said since Twitter was trying to shut him down (his site), then he feels like he should just stop selling new licenses altogether.

I cant blame him though, we dont want to push our luck & lose it for existing customers.

So yes, you're definitely lucky to get it while it was available. I cant wait to see what kind of updates we get in the future
  • lol dont worry, the software still works & will be updated for current customers.

    & thanks, 'twas my pleasure!

ps: thats a cute lil bird haha

    • Yea i know , but i really found something better bro lol still might use TA for RT'n thou...
  • I REALLY hope you arent talking about sharepro's twitterbot. LOL
    • [1] reply
    • So the question is, what IS he talking about?

Pity that TA is not being sold anymore... I was in the middle of a campaign Monday when it happened... But good to have a copy!
  • def not , i have no clue what that is
    • [1] reply
    • Hope this isuue gets resolved somehow because it sounds as though this was a great service. Nothing lasts forever I suppose but I am sure something else will come out soon that is just as good.

P.S. Could someone let me know if someting else does come out by sending me a PM or something.

      Would be much appreciated.
  • Are you guys saying that TA Pro is working now? Mine is not and I bought my copy over a year ago!!

I sent a ticket to their help desk hours ago and haven't heard squat!!
  • Ya, TA is working. I've had it running since they got their hosting back.

If you havent got a response just relax, imagine how many people are contacting them right now. They will reply, it might just take awhile to hear back from them.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Yeah ... you're probably right.

Actually, I'm glad I already have a copy - didn't realize they were having these kinds of problems. Appreciate the feedback!
  • There are already cracked versions of TA out there.

And guess what? They dont work. lol

When someone cracks it, they just release an update to patch it.
    • [1] reply
    • You never update a cracked copy and simply block any access to the software.

If there is something Twitter has changed that really need a new patch from the program, a new cracked copy is made in 10 minutes.

I'm over 30, but 15 years ago I was a lot into that stuff... our hacking group released the first MP3s on IRC and we were flooded by demands until we released our sources.

      I'm just sayin'...
  • Anybody know where I can find the setup file for TA I uninstalled it thinking it was a error on my side now the download link doesn't work. Found a crack version and tried to use the .exe for it but it says my license is wrong I think I need the updated setup. I tried to reset the key but I didn't get an email back from it.
  • mbmedia, you can resend your license key and download link at:

    http://tweetattacks.com/resend.php

you can reset the license to install it again on a different PC at:

    http://tweetattacks.com/reset.php
  • ok.. so whats the problem then? why would you offer to 'pay for advice on a good TA alternative' if you're so sure?

Go find a cracked version (that actually works - not just 1 or 2 modules, ALL of them) and then come back & let us know how thats working out for you. haha

Just trust me on this.. Yes, it can be cracked - and when it is, AT FIRST it will work for awhile. But it wont last very long.

Once they update the software, the crack is done.. one or two modules MIGHT still work a little bit, but its nowhere near as effective as a legit version..

I've seen it happen thousands of times over the past 2 years. You think people have NEVER tried to crack it before? come on now.

Anyway, I'm off.. Might go kill people on MW3.. you're all free to join me if you got a PS3 & MW3.

PSN is WhosThatGuru, just send a friend request.

    • I'm looking to buy legit licenses, not cracked ones. I just pointed out that with so many people wanting to buy the product, there will be more demand on the black market, thus more people working on them.

If I can't get my hands on TA, sure I'm looking for alternatives... there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm a serious business man, working full time online since 1999. I can buy any program with the proper licence. I already had 50 sites ready for TA, so it's a big upset.

Thanks for the offer to play online but I don't have that game. Just bought Rage and did not even have time to start Assassin's Creed II and Revelations.
  • Whos That Guru

Thanks for your response but there download link for the setup file doesn't work now. 404 Not Found
  • I have been looking at Tweet Adder now and I'm not going to lie I'm probably going to purchase it.

It has everything I was going to use with Tweet Attacks anyways (adding people and a re-tweet function), and it can be installed on 3 separate machines; perfect for getting my team to help me with projects that need to be scaled massively.

I'm feeling a little better now..
  • mb, sorry about that.

    Here ya go:

For the Pro/Lite, download it here:

    http://50.22.94.212/dl/setup.zip

For the account creator, download it here:

    http://50.22.94.212/twitter-account-creator/dlds/setup.zip

    These are working.
  • Thanks SO MUCH
  • thanks a lot

    • Awww man, looks like Tweet Attacks is out of action for even the registered users ??!!! Today, I can't log in...it's telling me error 404 and I just discovered Twitter levied Court Proceedings against Tweetattacks/Tweet Adder/Tweet Buddy etc yesterday...By the looks of things Tweetattacks have completely closed their doors?

Don't have any way to contact Tweet Attacks as the server has been pulled....any word on the street??

Twitter filed a lawsuit against the top 5 twitter tool providers yesterday.

Not sure how this is gonna play out. If I hear anything I'll email everyone on my list with an update.

But for now, its not looking good.
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks for posting the complaint. After reading it, and having my background in law, I agree with your assessment as to it is not looking good. Based on this complaint, I can see why the license won't validate. It seems that Jay is cutting his losses. No wonder he took down his Facebook profile. A lawsuit like this will disgorge all his profit; that is what the constructive trust is about. If he doesn't lose his profits like that, he'll lose them paying attorney fees. We should all be glad we aren't named in that complaint. I'm taking this as a lesson that the internet is becoming less and less the wild, wild West where there are no rules. This suit shows once again that we should respect others intellectual property rights as if they were our own. This suit shows that when we don't respect others property rights they are not without remedy.
  • I beleive there has been an attack on spamming regarding twitter
  • I've never heard of tweet attacks, how significant does it increase traffic?
    • [1] reply
    • You're learning about the game after it is all over. At least it is certainly looking like it is. How much traffic is irrelevant if there is no more Tweet Attacks.
      • [1] reply
  • If I was going to defend this lawsuit, I would attack the assertion that Tweet Attacks violated terms of service. Basically, Twitter's terms of service say that they know spam when they see it. Wikipedia on contracts says about this, "If the terms of the contract are uncertain or incomplete, the parties cannot have reached an agreement in the eyes of the law.[36] An agreement to agree does not constitute a contract, and an inability to agree on key issues, which may include such things as price or safety [insert here what constitutes spam, or, what constitutes following too many followers in a short period], may cause the entire contract to fail. However, a court will attempt to give effect to commercial contracts where possible, by construing a reasonable construction of the contract." When a contract is, "...prepared by the company, and if therefore there should be any ambiguity in it, must be taken, according to law, most strongly against the person who prepared it." American Surety Company v. Pauly (No. 1), 170 US 133 - Supreme Court 1898.

The issue of numerous complaints against Tweet Attacks appears to violate F.R.Civ.P. 11. Twitter users have the ability to pull down and select this tweet is spam. There is no option to say this tweet is spam coming from Tweet Attacks.

Another weakness in the case is proof of damages by Twitter. Connecting we lost x amount of dollars because of the actions of Tweet Attacks is a daunting task.

It is not legally permissible to obtain an injunction for monetary damages. OK, so tie loss of good will to the actions of Tweet Attacks; also very challenging.

The main problem; financing the defense of the suit. It's hard to make money doing that. Oh, how about this, a counterclaim against Twitter?
  • Hmmm, does the long arm jurisdiction of a US federal court reach into a foreign country? If it did, couldn't US companies sue Chinese companies for Trademark/Trade dress violations? I don't think they can. I'm pretty sure that the Philippines at this time is an independent foreign country. If Twitter gets a judgment, or an injunction, how are they going to enforce it in a foreign country? All Jay may need to do is set up his own server for license validations and away he goes again?
  • Has there been any news on why Tweet Attacks is not working? It went down over the easter weekend and still doesn't work. Every time i open it, it just comes up with a 404 error message. Is everyone in the same boat as me on this???
    • [1] reply
    • They got sued out of existence. Expect no support or a functioning program going forward.

The 'crows have come home to roost' so to speak.
  • I am curious how this will end.
  • I guess we'll have to choose the 6th biggest twitter software then.
    • [1] reply
    • 6th biggest being??
  • tweetatacks is dead i think its because twitter rules
anyways it was a good product for traffic
  • Its time to build custom twitter bots
  • If anybody has an idea to make TA work without license validation (no longer working) so we can keep using it, I'd be reaaaaally interested to hear it.
    • [1] reply
    • Now there's a concept! No sense letting all the development go to waste. Of course, when Twitter reads this, it wouldn't be to much trouble to add us to their suit. A little stealth might be in order.
  • What is TA all about guys? How useful it is in online business?
    • [1] reply
  • yes I agree,I launch also but the page is index of/

I think I have something to read or look for but all for nothing, anyways thank you for that term that is new to me.
  • I guys, I would be realy interested if anyone has or can crack tweetattacks
  • some times i face this problem but after a few munites it is being solved.so don't be afraid.
    • [1] reply
    • What problem are you referring too?
  • I spoke to Jay, the TA founder, he says this suit by Twitter is the biggest challenge of his life. I hinted around about TA plans and the need to get back on track only to discover that I hadn't posted enough to send him a direct private message.
  • Did you notice that Jay Yaunaria, founder of TA, took down his Facebook profile?
