Question about WSO and seller's list

I was getting ready to launch my very first WSO, but I had a question about it first. I have heard that a lot of warriors will put up a WSO for free or for close to nothing to get a seller's list.

How does that work? When I sell a WSO, does it capture the email address of buyers? I know the value of a seller's list, I just don't entirely understand the mechanics of it.

    You can do that by just having an optin page before someone can get to your download page. Your autoresponder can be setup to automatically email them a link to the download once they optin.

    However, I wouldn't suggest offering free WSOs to build your list. You're just going to get stuck with a list of people who don't want to spend money. If you're okay with not making a lot from the WSO then just offer affiliates 100% commission and let them promote it.

    thanks for the help and tip. I actually wasn't going to use a free wso for that very reason. I was going between making it cheap, 100% affiliate commission or both. Anyway, thanks for the help.

    In WSO Pro, you have the option to add an autoresponder list name. After doing so and having set your optin settings in your autoresponder correctly, WSO Pro will add the name of each buyer to your autoresponder list automatically for you. No need for setting up a squeeze page or anything else.

      You are definitely on the right track. This is probably the easiest and most profitable ways to build a list.

      It is actually pretty easy. Assuming that you are using wsopro, it is a simple two step form. Just select your autoresponder in the drop down menu. Aweber is easiest. Then simply insert your list name. Done, now every buyer is automatically added to your list. Offering 100% commissions definitely increases your list size faster. Hope that helps

    I have put out a WSO and was surprised to see that a certain % of the buyers did not get added to my auto responder.

    I eventually manually added the names and emails to my auto responder and most of the emails were added without a problem. A few of them had emails that were on my autoresponders blacklist.

    So do not rely on wso pro to automatically add all of your buyers. Check the # of sales against the number of contacts added.
