Do you think I can do it?

I was looking to do wordpress / Joomla! installs to make a bit of money after I lost my job. However a lot of the freelance sites + fiverr offer this for dirt cheap. Plus with Fiverr, people seem to offer additional packages on top of the installs to make people pick them.

However do some research and see what you find, there might be a place where you can get paid more than $5 for an install

I do understand that people on fiver are offering it for dirt cheap. However, I am not talking about just install I am talking about creating a whole site with content, pics, banner graphic using headway wordpress theme framework.

Also I do agree people may be offering these kind of sites on elance for dirt cheap but my target market is local people, as I have a shop in a high traffic area, I am planning to put a banner about webdesigning services outside my shop so that people can notice it.

I am just getting nervous because I don't know the coding languages, so what will happen if someone asks me a technical question?

I was thinking this too. Unless the OP wants to work for what the guys on Fiverr work for this might be a tough sell.

Buy WPTwin.

If you don't know what that is, you can build one site and zap it so you have a copy. Play about with your theme and make a copy of every template you will need.

Now you can just zap up a site, add a few custom features, and it will save you loads of time.

Maybe you could outsource little bits of code on an individual basis.

You gotta have faith in yourself to see you through the hard times my friend..

I too was once where are are but I refused to give in..I just kept thinking about the vast amount of money other IMers were making online and that kind of kept me going in the dark times..

Remember that nothing is impossible once heart and mind are put towards it..

Well, Wordpress is php and css so it does help to be able to alter a css style sheet some. It also helps to know enough html to place advertising in the site.

Ya you are absolutely right, but since I am using headway theme ( a WYSWIG wordpress framework) I can put adverts on site without knowing any html or css until and unless I don't need to do some very neat and complex changes.

Then there should be no reason for you not to give it a try. Anyone asks for something you can't do, charge them extra for it and outsource it. Just make sure they know what your original price includes and what constitutes as an extra.

You can absolutely do it as long as you believe it with all of your heart.

I think what happens very often is we have that cloud of doubt around our brains that are there permanently in the back of our minds and that is stopping us from taking massive action and doing things to the best of our potential.

If you have a plan B, drop it. Dedicate yourself completely to this and you will become successful, guaranteed.

I notice some people comparing me with fiver gigs, I don't understand how my service is similar to them. I am not doing just install I am giving them a complete seo optimized site that they can show to their clients for credibility.

An example site is www.tecbazaar.com/demo2 and I will be giving sites like this for just $100 to $ 150 that includes domain registration as well as hosting fee (1 year). From next year I will just charge them $60 for hosting and domain yearly.

Now isn't that valuable for a business.
