Split testing conversions for affiliates
I have seen a few threads on WF about split testing for affiliates but none that goes into how to test against conversions rather than click-throughs.
Is there a way to do this (paid or free)?
I read a John Chow review on LinkTrackr software where he suggests that affiliates should ask their "affiliate manager to see if she can add the conversion tracking codes to the final landing page"--to track conversions.
If a vendor added a tracking code to a sales page for me, wouldn't this allow me to see all affiliates' sales, not just my own? If so, I just can't imagine vendors being happy to do that. (As a part-time vendor myself, I wouldn't do it.)
Is there another way to tie the sales to the clicks/visitors?
