Hey Fellow Warriors

I'm thinking about making a membership site.
Which platform do you recommend if I am nok a skilled programmer?

Thanks

    I think you should use wordpress + a membership plugin like s2member
    Also, take a look at : Membership software - aMember Pro

    You don't need programming skills!
    Good luck !

    It really depends on what the site will entail... what will you be providing to your members?

    Wordpress 100% plus a plugin for paid membership or an external integrated system like amember.

    I would definitely NOT use WordPress for a membership site. Not unless you like the idea of someday finding your site hacked and all of your work destroyed.

      Not sure this is the best advice... ANY site can get hacked. All it takes is a username and password. There are ways to secure a Wordpress site just like any other.

    Wordpress is fine if you keep it up to date and take precautions with any plugins or code edits.

    Look at tuts plus network, all run on wp/

    I have all of my membership sites setup in Wordpress with Optimize Press Theme and Wish List Member for protection. Has worked very well and without issues.

    Here's my "dream team":

    * WordPress
    * OptimizePress for the member's area (and squeeze pages, etc)
    * DigitalAccessPass (DAP) Membership Plugin
    * Amazon S3
    * EasyVideoPlayer (or S3MediaVault)
    * Paypal + a Payment Gateway (like Authorize.net or Paypal Pro for credit card payments)

    [Disclosure: I am the founder/co-developer of DAP]
