How do Higher JV Commissions work with CB?

I have read for a while now how when doing a JV you offer JV partners a higher commission...

but how does that work a CB product?

Do you have for example a 50% commission via the normal link on your sales page, but then provide JV partners with a higher commission % link?

Or do you create two separate products, with a special JV page like

product.com/jvname.html


Just confused on the process. Thanks!

    The problem is that you can only have one commission rate in
    an account for all your products.

    So if the reason for using JVs is to get an initial boost in
    your Marketplace rankings subsequent sales by other
    affiliates will not help maintain it.

    Two options

    1. Don't put your product in the Marketplace (at the 50%
    rate) until the JVs have finished promoting it (at the
    higher rate)

    2. Pay the extra for JV sales outside of ClickBank
