Internet Marketing and Drop Shipping

Hi I wish to buy a already built website ,a website that has already a wholesale company that takes care of the shipping i give them the orders etc etc.
I came accross few of them that are suitable for my finances.My question is this..what should I look for ,before to buy a business like this?
The people that visit the web site? the traffic? the one i saw has also a iphone application to buy products ...Im new to this kind of business and i would like advise ...I do not wish to lose my money (also if little investment)
the website i look for are around 4K or 5K.

    Looks for STEADY business, a decent profit margin, and low upkeep. Will the business die off in 6 months? Do you sell products that will require constant returns and customer contact? All things to keep in mind.

      this in particular im looking at, sells organic products it looks well built but they say are selling it (at that price) :"Again, we are just trying to recoup some of the development. We are not selling it based on earnings or profits. Just on a very reduced project cost".This is what they told me ...

    If you're buying a dropshipping website/business just make sure that the supplier is reliable because if it's not you'll get into a lot of trouble...

    In dropshipping you must make sure the number of transactions per month, usually you make more money in sales volume than in % per sale.

    It's important you know this, because I do dropshipping for more than a year and the profits it's on the sales volume.

    Also be sure the dropshipper its 100% reliable and has a good inventory always ready to ship.

    On a side note, I started off with drop-shipping and eventually switched over to affiliate marketing because of it cuts out a lot of the headaches such as dealing with questions, returns, unreliable shipping etc.

    Now I do something completely different and this is just my experience from the time that I did it. I didn't even do it for that long so don't take my word for it completely and do some research on the topic.
